Windows boot manager problem acer aspire 5920

Hi,
I am using acer aspire 5920 laptop. When I turn on my laptop Windows Boot Manager appears and says "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File : \Windows\system32\drivers\volsnap.sys
Status : 0xc0000098
Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt."

I don't have Windows disc. I have tried doing system recovery but it is not working. Is there any way that I colud resolve this problem. Please respond as early as possible. Waiting for the kind reply.

Creating recovery discs After setting up the computer for the first time, be sure to create a set of recovery discs of the full factory image.

the recovery discs are used to start up (boot) the computer and recover the operating system and software to factory settings in case of system instability or failure.

NOTE: Handle these discs carefully and keep them in a safe place. The software allows the creation of only one set of recovery discs.

Note the following guidelines before creating recovery discs: Use any of the following types of discs: CD-R, DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVD-R, or DVD-R DL (purchased separately).

The discs you use will depend on the type of optical drive installed in your computer. Because DVDs store more information than CDs, DVDs and DVDs with double-layer (DL) support reduce the number of discs required.

NOTE: Read-write discs, such as CD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RW, are not compatible with the Recovery Manager software. The computer must be connected to AC power during this process.

Number each disc before inserting it into the computer optical drive

If necessary, you can exit the program before you have finished creating the recovery discs. The next time you open Recovery Manager, you will be prompted to continue the disc creation process.

    or

Try interrupting the boot sequence and telling the computer to boot using the last known good configuration. Here's how:

Turn the computer on, and press F8 repeatedly until the boot options menu appears (the menu items include "Start Windows Normally," "Use Last Known Good Configuration," etc.).

Use the arrow keys to select "Last Known Good Configuration" and press ENTER. The computer should boot correctly.

SOURCE: windows failed coz of critical

That can be frustrating :( hope my solution below helps..

based on the current situation, I suggest trying the following steps: restart the computer and keep pressing F8; Use Last Known Good Configuration.

If the issue still occurs after that, I suggest testing if we can boot from a Windows disk. If so, please install Windows on another partition and access your important data. After backing up those data, you can use Windows disk to format the drive and reinstall Windows.

However, if we cannot boot from a Windows disk, the issue can be caused by incorrect BIOS settings or damaged hardware. I recommend contacting your computer manufacturer to check BIOS and hardware.

I can not get my Acer Aspire 5920 to load after turning on.

Try to see if it will boot in safe mode, by pressing F8 while the laptop boots up. If it allows you to boot in safe mode, try to do a system restore when you know that laptop was working with no problems. You can do this by clicking on start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and choose a date and time when you know that the laptop was working with no problems. If this does not work or you cannot boot in safe mode (be aware that everything will look big in safe mode and when the computer reboots if asked how you want to start windows, choose start windows normally), try doing a recovery. This will restore your computer to the factory default settings when you purchased it. You can do this by booting the computer, when the acer screen appears hold down the ALT key and continuously press F10, this will open the recovery manager and you can restore it from there.

I hope this helps
