Question about Troy-Bilt Pony Garden Tiller
The pull start was squealing, my son poured oil on it .didnt work . i fix that but now it runs but no power like before..
When the pull started is squealing you need to remove the "ratchet" which is located under the shourd that covers the flywheel. Remove it from the engine and disassemble making sure you do not misplace any of the bearing balls that are in there. You will probably find some dirt in the cup. Clean it really well along with the balls and reassemble. The only place you are to put oil is in the very top of this rachette, there is a small hole there, put a few drops of oil in the hole, trying not to get any oil elsewhere on the rachette. Oil anyplace else in this area will make it hard to start as it catches and retains dirt. Make sure there is no oil elsewhere also.
