Power board I have been trying to locate a power board part number e7802-005008 for this set. The set is barely a year old but, everywhere I try it is no longer available, what gives?

I will replace the T-CON board first.

Since no brand or model number is indicated try this:

Unplug set from power and if using a Box of any sort to feed signal unplug that also----let set sit for several minutes and power everything back up----this will allow set and or a box to try to reboot.

The most common issue here in the old sets is bad solder connections--the problem is you have to get the entire chassis free and up so bottom of boards face rear of set---look to power supply---a lot of 2 and 3 lead parts there from heat come loose from the boards and also to the middle of the set on the middle board.


If you are not able to attempt this the set is too old for a shop repair in my view as many parts for it are no longer available.

Sounds like a main board issue

This kind of failure is very common; that is why I suggest that one should keep the old CRT TV, buy a converter and put them both in the garage or basement so they are handy when our s*e*x*y new sets go belly up.
With fair confidence I can say that the main power supply has failed.
If you want to try this on your own, it only will require the removal of a few screws and a flashlight.
- Unplug the set overnight. - Remove the rear housing  - Use some logic and these tips; look for a separate board with larger than average parts on it and seems closer to the power cord than others. This will be the power supply.
Check the board over for something that looks like a part number and record it. If you find more than one, one of them will be the bare board number, the second (sometimes on a sticker instead of printed directly on the board) should be the part number for the assembly.
Search for the Westinghouse service company nearest you and call them with this info. Ask if they repair these or just sell new ones. If it is the latter, don't pitch the old one, continue to look for a repair service that will take it on after you have the new one in place and can watch your favorites again. The new supply will likely cost between $90 - $150 and with a little common sense, most anyone can remove and replace these in the set. Expect any repair to cost about the same as a new supply; US technical labor costs more than Chinese assembly labor. 
These supplies can be as reliable as the primitive older type but companies refuse to use the high-grade components necessary to give them a long life so they fail much sooner than the old, less efficient kind known as 'linear' supplies.

I can not seem to cross those numbers to any source I have. there is a good possiblity that the part is no longer available. after all the set is 20+ years old and manufacturers do not keep making parts for them forever. sears had other companies make their tvs early sets were made by zenith then they were RCA.

They are little green soldered in fuses located on the center board (the one with the STK's on it) toward the rear of the set near the large transformer.

convergence boards for a tv are kind of hard to come by after 3 years old where did u buy the tv? if from sears you can goto the site and look up the parts or contact the manufactuar directly on there site for a parts section. www.samsungparts.com i tried to look up your model number said it was invalid try that and good luck also convergence boards have a dcu on the board looks like a small motherboard and u might have to take the old one off and put it on the new one with solder GL hope it helps
