How do I run a channel scan on new tv

Once hooked up go into the menu under set up. You will have to choose between air/antenna or cable. Select your choice and then it will prompt you to do a channel scan automatically or manually. Select automatic. If you are doing this as an antenna it should prompt you as to whether you want to scan for digital, analog or both. Select both.

How do I watch normal tv on my audiosonic television ?

That depends upon which source your "normal" TV is connected. If you have a cable box using a coax cable, then you will either select the DTV source if the cable box uses digital output or a digital over-the-air antenna, and ATV source if the box is using analog signals or if you are using an analog over-the-airwaves antenna. If you are using a cable box but have an HDMI cable connecting it to the set, then you need to choose HDMI1 or 2 as appropriate. If you have a box that uses the red-black-yellow RCA cables, then select the AV input. Remember that for ATV and DTV inputs from a cable box, you usually have to tune the set to either channel 3 or 4 and use the box to change the channels.

Removed TV from cable, connected a antenna.Changed setting to antenna. All I get is a Blue screen like no signal is coming through.Connections are good. It seems like a setting is missing. Help

Hi, is the tv set to analogue broadcast, should it not be set to digital. I have a Grundig that does the same thing on analogue. If your tv is and/digi this might be the issue.

Trying to convert from cable to antenna...I get no signal and it seemingly goes into sleep mode

Consult your TV's owner manual and enter "set up mode" to switch the RF or Antenna input from: CATV / Cable to: Antenna / Off Air. Then, allow the TV to scan VHF & UHF for signals strong enough to "tune in". You may need to upgrade your antenna in order to collect enough signal to display video properly. Make sure that your TV has a digital tuner (ATSC) as the old analog tuners (NTSC) have no signal to tune since broadcasters were forced to digital transmitters by the FCC years ago.

Use the site linked below to help you select an antenna that will allow you to receive all signals possible at your location - without buying more antenna than you need.

If you were unable to tune in digital before the switchover then most likely your digital reception is poor. Unlike analog signals you will not see anything on screen until it can lock in. You may have to repoint your TV antenna or check what size of antenna you need at antennaweb.org

You need to put a compatible cable decoder box between the cable and TV as the sanyo will only decode analogue cable signals via the catv UHF vhf input
the digital antenna in is for digital air broadcasting signals only

We are getting a weak signal, no picture.

Make sure that at the box you are connecting the antenna in the right "Ant" connector at the converter and using the other connector to jump to your TV set "antenna in" connector, and have your set tuned in channel 3 or channel 4 (try both, just in case).

Another thing you may want to check is that your TV is set to receive channels "From the Air" not "cable". use you TV menu selections to find this setting.

You may also choose to connect the signal transfer from the converter to the TV using a 3 cable set of Audio (red and white RCA connectors) and a video cable (yellow connector) and setting your TV to get the "signal input" from the right input selection, (it could be labeled as Front, or Video or Aux) in this way you will get a even better image quality.

Then press "menu" on your Digital TV converter remote, then if and when you can see the menu in your TV, look and go for auto setup so the converter can look and find all the available channels in your area.

If there is nothing broken you should be able to get you Digital programming right there.
