Check the battery orientation is correct. Otherwise your camera probably has a bad driver board in it. These camera don't appear to be very robust and exhibit a number of faults. Found a similar line of problems on another site -

I have the exact same problem
have you figured out how to solve it?

Firstly, remove the remaining films in your camera (while the camera is switched off) Secondly, switch on the camera. Press the power button and the shutter button simultaneously at one go. (to reset) Thirdly, reload a new set of polaroid films. Hope it helps!
