My PC doesn't detect it after I plug it in

My PC doesn't detect my new Trust Design MC-1500 microphone after I plug it in correctly and switch it on. Control panel - sound-audio tells me there is no default hardware at all. Control panel - add hardware wizard doesn't do the trick either.

By the way, I don't have any sound on my pc either...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My microfoon doesn't work

LOL, do you have the microfoon plugged into the correct port? Do you have the volume for the microphone turned up? Make sure you don't have the microphone on mute. Check your audio and sound devices and look to make sure you have the mic selected.

Trust headset HS2900 suitable for apple macbook?

On the MacBook there is no microphone port, if you look closely, it is not a microphone plug, it is a line in plug. Line in cannot record sounds from a microphone without amplification. What I would recommend doing is purchasing this adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186035&cm_re=usb_audio-_-12-186-035-_-Product- With this adapter, you plug your headset and mic into it and then it plugs into the USB port on your MacBook. Then you can just unplug it from the USB port when you are done.

Why Wont my Toshiba Satellite even recognize a mic has been plugged in??

There is NO hardware that detects the plug is inserted.

The only indication is when audio is received.

The mic needs to be unmuted in the mixer and the gain turned up.

USUALLY a right click on the speaker icon brings up the mixer screen.
