Problem for Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 Digital Camera

Is a replacement battery compartment available, if so where from?

I have a Konica-Monolta Dimage Z3. My rechargeable batteries ran out so I replaced them with ordinary AAA's, that leaked! I have cleaned the battery residue off with cotton buds and a soapy solution. The camera will still not work, so I wonder if I need to replace the battery compartment?

If any of the liquid got inside the camera it has probably damaged the circuit board. replacing the battery compartment will not help. if you are very good with electronics you can dismantle the camera and try to clean it and look for damage. but its a very intricate job.
