You need a RCA audio to 1.5mm cable and then hook the RCA cables in the back I use the sa-cd/cd spot. (the farthest left ports in the back) then plug the other end into your iPod and play. (making sure you have selected the sa-cd/cd button on the front of the receiver).

Have u checked the COMPATIBILITY of the IPOD with your system(receiver/amplifier). the software of some models is not compatible withyour respective receivers.
Go to their sites for software upgrades.bye.

How do i hook it up to a lcd tv with one digital output?

All of your vidoe components should run directly to TV via HDMI, component, etc., as input. Anything you hook to Tv can be watched using TV's menu, ie: TV, DVR< etc., of course, if you use component cables, you have to provide audio with other means. All you have to do then, is, run your digital optical out from TV to reciever. Use your TV menu to watch and you will only use the one input to reciever. Make sure you go through the recievers menu to make sure you have chosen the proper channel for listening, Vid2, Aux, etc.

I HAVE A SONY RECIEVER STR-DH700, I get no sound

make sure the FM antenna is connected and in a good place then check to see if the A-B speaker selector is selected properly.check to see that the sound field is set properly, My 800 allows for several different options and if your speaker wires are reversed or not in the correct position front left at front left etc it will not send the signal to those speakers. try using the TEST TONE feature if you have one it will send a signal to each speaker in sequence (LF< C< RF<in order) it will go all the way around to see if they are connected properly, that way you can tell if they are connected at all or in the wrong spot on the back interface. I dont know if that is what you meant by AUTO CAL, but that is a seperate feature when you use the connected mic to determine range, height and distance to the position in the room you are most likely to be seated for optimal sound.

My Sony STR-DE135 reciever has sever distortion on the right channel speakers (A&B) no matter which input is selected. I can not find any obvious fault on the board. Any tips to help me fix it?

It sounds like your receiver may have a damaged output IC. I'm assuming that you've already tried a known good speaker on the right channel but if not, that would be a good idea. Also check and verify that the speaker wire is not damaged and that the terminals at each end are securely fastened.

Good Luck,

Hook up problems

either cut an rca cable and splice it to the speaker wires (not easy because the rca cable is coax type or buy rca ends from radio shack and do a little soldering

Sony STR DE485 (Audio Video Reciever)

Your problem must be caused by the right channel (rear, front whatever..)side feeding resistor on the power supply.
