Look at the plug on the end, two black insulator circles means its stereo and needs to be plugging into a stereo jack, 1 black circle means mono and you can get a mono to stereo adapter at the dollar store

Speaker produces noice/static/buzzing sound when it is off

That means that if too much power is going to the speaker or extraneous signals are being picked up by the wiring, it can come through the speakers as static. Stopping static requires finding and eliminating that extra electricity from transmitting through your speakers.
If you're still hearing distortion, turn down the volume on your amplifier until the distortion goes away. If the volume is too low to be easily heard, the problem may be that your amplifier produces too much power for your speakers to handle or that your amp and speakers have different impedance ratings.

Crackling static noise on calls

Make sure that there is no fault inthe connection from the line terminals. If both the sets have the same noise connect a base phone and test the line as it can be from the telphone line itself producing the static from the nearest junction or cable line.
If not the base phone input section may have errors.

My audio out put is producing lots of white noise. Almost so much the music is unheard.

I had this on some Acer TravelMate 4220. Ours turned out to be the mic turned on and way up. Turning the mic off or all the way down fixed it.

Toshobasattelite statice noise audiooutput

you need a ground loop isolator or some way to ground the laptop/power supply to remove the noise. the noise is electrical interference produced by the inverter.

Microphone has undelying static and hiss

Normal 0 Two things can cause static.
First, If you have your speakers turned up to high it will give you feedback causing distortion and static. Best to use headphones when recording.
Second reason is, if you are using a laptop and have added an external microphone between the two it will cause distortion and static.
Not knowing the configuration of your computer makes it harder to analyze the problem.
So hope this is of some help. Bud
