Remote control transmitter is good ,the receiver not working what can i do ?

Did you recently change the transmitter/ bought a new one, changed the battery? How did the problem start? Was it sudden or did the receiver die over a period of time?
Is is possible that the receiver is not recognizing the transmitter's signal. Do you have a spare transmitter? Is the spare transmitter also not working? Please give more information.

first make sure your batteries are good in the remote, if the remote is really wearing out, then the purchase of another is way cheaper than trying to repair it

Hi, i have this remote. it works on my tv before. but now it doesn't wprk any more. please help?

Hello, Thank You for visiting!

Allow US to help you with your remote issue.

Many times batteries cause this issue, over time the buttons often get stuck and cause the rmeote to jam. What this means is more then one of the Button pads might be pushed in causing the remote to JAM and not function.

You can take a phillips screw driver open up the unit and clan the button pads, you also can make sure your using good batteries as well.

Many cases with these universal remotes or, original remote the pads under the buttons get jammed or dirty. A remote generally does not just die. There are many causes. Allowing a dead battery sit over time on a remote can wear down the connections on the remote. Make sure you clean these battery connections, Make sure you flex the spring inside and make sure the battery is seated in the correct position.

I hope you like my idea's and tips on how to resolve your problem. We hope you found this Very Helpful today, Thank You for the oppertunity to help.

the remote starter is not going to damage the starter, but if wired wrong it could damage the wiring or fuses, or run the battery down from a short.

Get yellow band saying that there is no power. Do I need a new battery?

If you've tried charging it, and resetting the unit, then yes, its time for a replacement battery - which luckily isn't too expensive.

Here's some links for replacements...

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Is this the first time you've tried using this remote with your TV or has this problem just started?

If it's a recent problem, be sure you put FRESH BATTERIES in it. Some remotes will forget everything if the batteries are weak.

Then, try this site:

You can enter your TV brand and it should walk you through re-programming your remote.

I know it sounds simple but I would replace both the battery cable ends with quality new ones or replace both positive and negative battery cables with the new ends attached. Hope this helps.

The remote that came with this unit does not last long and breaks down very fast. Alpine has a new equivalent replacement that you can order from a dealer that will work with this unit. For the volume control, yes they do wear out with time. Cleaning it with very high quality contact cleaner like DeOxit helps for a while but the problem comes back because the mechanical contacts simply wear out. A new volume control can still be ordered if you look hard. I think pac parts can get them. You would need a technician to open up the detachable face and unsoldered the old control and solder in the new one if you can't do it yourself. After that it works like new.
