It depends on whether you run Windows XP or Vista, but for Vista I can recommend an article on how to fix recording problems in Vista, which also addresses microphone configuration.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How do i turn off my built in mic off

The built-in mic is actually always enabled. It only gets disabled once you connect an external mic just as you have done. Disabling it disables the mic capability which means that it also disables your external mic capability. If you have any problem with the built-in mic being on all the time you could try to go to the volume controller and mute it from there. The downside here is that you would actually need to unmute it each time you use your external mic.

Broken screen

crt televisions use picture tubes, big glass vaccuum sealed shells that electrons are fired from. The front of that shell is the "screen" that you see.

Picture tubes are not worth your money to replace. If it is cracked, you need a new TV.
