I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FAQE7001LW, is not heating as well as only running about 5-7 minutes of the cycle before shutting off. There are a couple things to check.
1)The gas supply valve is not open. Check to make sure that the gas valve is open.
2)The dryer does not have enough air supply to support the burner flame. Check with your local gas company to make sure that your dryer is installed correctly.
3)There is a possibility that your LP gas supply tank is empty or there has been a utility interruption of natural gas. Try refilling or replacing the tank.
If you are still having trouble with your dryer, I suggest giving it a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, start any cycle. If you are still noticing that there is no heat and it stops 5-7 minutes into the cycle, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly.

doesn't matter what side the wires go on the door switch,as for the light, one of the wires has a plastic cover on it,that goes on top and the other wire plugs onto the post closest to the bulkhead, next time send model number, hope this helps you
Hi, You don't mention the model or make of dryer but this problem is usually due to a small component in the machine called a thermal overload switch. This switch stops the dryer when the elements get too hot. However, it often malfunctions and turns off the dryer the moment you use heat settings. The overload switch is inexpensive and should easily be found at your local appliance dealer. Best wishes, Graemevm
if the lint screen is on top of the dryer then you can remove the back of the dryer. look around the area where the air leaves the dryer. youll see a whit plastic part with 2 blue wires going to it. that is the thermal fuse. when the fuse goes bad the dryer wont start. if your lint screen is in the door let me know so i can anwer for that dryer.
