If you plugged the soundbar in to the back of the tv then you may have automatically disabled the sound from the TV. You'll have to hit the menu button on the TV and go the the Sound/Audio menu to see it the TV speakers are enabled or disabled. If you enable the TV speakers then the output to the sounder will turn off. I'm assuming you don't want that.
