The camera requires partially dismantling in order to fix this. if you cannot do it yourself then you will have to take it somewhere but be warned it wont be very cheap. If you live in new zealand i could do it for you however unlikely that is.

Sony DCR-TRV25 when opening LCD panel turning upside down

my camera used to do that too as a matter of fact its just how some cameras are i used to be in a video class with cameras in high school and college , if you have to turn the lc panel the other way for it to work so the lcd panel must be turned away from you when your filming then to watch it you can turn it around i hope this helps you if not reply to me at Jonk3y @aol.com

Canon Powershot SD1000: LCD screen display

Hopefully you resolved this already. If not, push the "DISP." button left of the MENU button. Pushing it gives you three options: black (for discreet shooting so your LCD doesn't give garner dirty looks from fellow concert goers), liveview, and liveview with info overlayed (shooting mode, ISO, etc.). Good luck!

Hi, my camera is displaying the image upside-down on the screen! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

This is semi difficilt to repair. When you swivel the LCD around there is a cam that actuates a micro switch that flips the image upside down to view the image from the front. There is one small screw that holds it in place but getting to it is a little yime consuming.

Inverted image problem

Has this just happened or has it always been like this? There appears to be a a fault in the main board and only replacement will cure- So may be if the camera is more than a year or so old- time for a new one. Meanwhile do speak to the Canon Tech Support on the Web site. And whilst the matter is still not resolved ,shoot holding the camera upside down- seriously - tell me what happens.

Image won't flip when the lcd panel is fliped to 180 degree i.e when i flip the lcd panel towards the lense to do a self shoot the image, instead of appearing stright appears upside - down

normally there is a micro switch fixed at the awivl head of the lcd panel. when the lcd is rotated to 180 the switch gets engaged thus turns the image upside down. most probably the switch has worn out.
