Question about Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Notebook
Can you tell my how to delete the file ''hiberfil.sys''?my os is xp sp3.someone told me that it would be deleted by system itself if you turn off the Hibernation, but Hibernation is showed off in my power control panel. i also tried some file killer tools ,but failed too. so ,can you tell me how can i delete it .PS: except reinstall the os.
try this program ...it moves and delete files that are protected at boot...so ...probably after the install a feature will appear on right click pop up ...kinda like the one that allow you to scan a file by right clicking and selecting anti virus run ...I had an earlier version on my pc ...and always worked just fine ...Im not sure about this file cause it appears to be a system file ...but from what I read about this program seams that it doesnt has any problem with any kinda files... so :
select the file / right clic select delete on boot ..
after the ok ...it will be deleted on next boot ...

As you turn on the laptop, keep pressing F8 and in the boot menu choose safe mode. After you get into safe mode go ahead and delete the file that way, once you do go ahead and reboot the system back into windows and the file should be gone.
