remove all of your trojans, worms, hijackers, viruses, rootkits. Use spynomore to show you where they are. I delete anything it finds from hidden folders and in the registry. Unhackme runs each time i boot up to keep most things off. Then also open Internet Explorer and turn off all addons then never use IE again. Get firefox or opera or safari or chrome. Get the addons for them that do security or prevent popups. If you want me to assist then install teamviewer and contact me here or at mikadot at hotmail dot com and i will remote administrate you. I would need the ID and password and a time that we are both online.

How do I fix the dcom server launcher, the computer keeps shutting down after it's been on for about five minutes?

Click Here to Download this program (its free). Install it. Update it. Run a FULL scan of your computer (took about 30 minutes and the viruses didn't pop up until the very end of the scan). Delete ALL of them (note: you have to reboot to delete the ones in windows system 32) There will be a list of about 5-10 infections they should be similar to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\tdssdata (Trojan.Agent)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\tdss (Trojan.Agent)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\NameServer (Trojan.DNSChanger)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\T cpip\Parameters\NameServer (Trojan.DNSChanger)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\T cpip\Parameters\NameServer (Trojan.DNSChanger)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssadw.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssl.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssserf.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssmain.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssinit.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdsslog.dll (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tdssservers.dat (Trojan.Agent)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\tdssserv.sys (Trojan.Agent)

Thanks for using Fixya!

Mcafee-gw detects heuristic.behaveslike.win32.backdoor.k in explorer.exe. is this a false-positive?

This file shows up as part of the zapchast backdoor trojan, and is a valid signature. If McAfee cannot remove, you can attempt to remove manually be following the instructions below:

1. Delete the following files:
baracudanew[1].exe
spywaredetect[1].exe
2. Open the registry and search for zapchast. Delete any instances you find.

3. Click Start>>Run and type in regsvr32 /u MsMsgSrv.DLL

4. Click Start>>Run and type in regsvr32 /u sys_gh.dll

5. Recheck the registry and search for zapchast again. If you find any instances, you may need to reformat the PC.

I can't get rid of a trojan "DNSChanger.f!rootkit". Any ideas?

download the "search and distory" from spybot.
take the computer off line while you scan for Trojan.
you need to scan the machine few time and restart it in bewteen each scan.

do a search on google for "dnsChanger*". and check the registry following the instruction.
NOTE: CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN VIEWING AND CHANGE THE SETTING IN THE REGISTRY.
make a backup copy of the registry if you are going to change anything at all.
