These instructions to disable or uninstall the pilot version of Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications are from the horse\'s mouth i.e. Microsoft itself.
Note: If you are looking to cleanly remove Windows Genuine Advantage Final version then look here.

This means that your software did not pass the Microsoft genuine verification ...and it blocked some features on your pc ,.. even removed your wallpaper...the easy solution is to reinstall the system ..but try to find a good copy .. one that will be irecognized as original ..
so ...save all the data you want to keep into another partition ...and reinstall windows using a good copy ...if you want one ...look for me on yahoo ( catalin_yo_vlad ) and I will fin a way to provide you with a copy of xp or vista that passes the test ..

I can`t go in my mail,I want to remove you may be a victim of software counterfeiting

HI,

That message ("you may be a victim of software counterfeiting") is displayed when your Windows serial number is being used by someone else. If your copy of Windows is legitimate, try contacting Microsoft support.

Take care,

Ask for genuine microsoft software

Hi.

It appears you have been a victim of software counterfeit, just like message says. Windows cannot find your product number in its valid product keys database.

There are three possibilities:
  • you have purchased illegal Windows XP (you will have to contact Microsoft on resolving this issue),
  • you entered blacklisted product key by mistake (search on Microsoft's site on information how to change your serial number),
  • you intentionally installed pirated Windows XP (FixYa does not provide any feedback to pirates).

This means the Windows Validation Tool has checked your installed copy of Windows and has found it to be a non-genuine copy. This means the product key is non valid.

Where did you get the PC? If a "friend" installed Windows for you then he is using illegal product keys.

If you are sure your Windows is genuine, you need to telephone Microsoft and fight it out with them.
