Question about HP LaserJet 1200 Printer

My HP Laserjet 1200 is screeching constantly

My HP Laserjet 1200 is making a terrible and constant screeching noise. It makes the noise with or without a cartridge. Seems to be coming from the left-hand-side. I cannot recall if this began with a paper jam, but nothing seems to be lodged in the rollers.  It started suddenly; I never had any trouble with the printer prior to this.

Probably the laser-mirror motor. It will screech until the load gives a error and the printer shows error/ is dead.
However, the motor can be lubed. Remove sides, remove screws found, remove top cover. Remove and open the black box containing laser. Remove motor board and lube the motor, dont get the mirror dirty. Asseble. Total time 15min...

just wanted to say that this solution worked! lubing the motor is probably the hardest part. after you remove the motor board (3 black screws, 4 purple power wires, and 1 ribbon cable), you need to disassemble the motor itself for proper lubrication.

    1) carefully remove the clip (looks like an omega symbol) on the spindle
    2) once clip is removed, square mirror can be lifted off spindle (don't lose the gold washer! and of course, don't get the mirror dirty)
    3) remove motor housing, and spindle can now be properly lubed. (we used bike lube but wd40 should be fine).
    4) put everything back in reverse order and you're done!

How do you remove the clip? it's impossible

Indeed, removing the clip is one way but not necessarily the only way to access the motor shaft. Next to the round motor, there is a white pin/ post/ retainer. From the BOTTOM of the circuit board, gently nudge aside the white (Teflon) post, and only enough to clear the edge of the motor. Now, motor housing will lift off allowing access to shaft and bearing surfaces. Good ol' 3 in 1 Oil did the job for mine.

I have a HP 6MP printer and it is now constantly jamming the paper and making harsh roller noises?

Can't be positive without hearing and seeing myself but the main motor makes a terrible sound whrn the gear on it cracks or it locks up. The jamming could also be because a piece of paper is jammed under the paper guide directly underneath the toner cartridge. If you look down in the machine you will see one silver screw on the left side, that is all you need to remove to take out the guide.

My HP laserjet 1200 is making a terrible noise when printing - do you have to oil the rollers?

No Please don't oil any part of the printer, oiling may damage the complete printer first check if the nopise is coming from rear, Top, Front or side.
If noise is coming from Top than possibly top outbin roller are making noise.
If side tham may be toner cartridge or cartridge motor is making.
If noise is coming from rear than either fuser or the gear which rotates the fuser are making noise.
If noise is coming from from than Tray 2 pickup assembly or faulty tray is making noise possibly faulty registration assembly can also mak noise none of the part should be oiled only the faulty part should be replaced.

Dryer makes screeching noise runs for awhile then shuts off.

The 1,5 year new dryer makes a terrible screaching noise when it has a load of clothes in it. It still dries fine, no problem with the heating element. No noise without clothes, only when it has a load.

I would leave the printer off and contact your printer's technical support department and let them know and they are the professionals specifically for that and they would be able to give you an answer and provide you with choices to fix the problem!

That is the link for the 3330. It is under the downloads section and is at the bottom. They refer to it as firmware
