My battery was replaced, I HAVE THE RADIO CODE , BUT IT DOESN'T TURN ON THE RADIO, MY CLOCK STOPPED, MY CD PLAYER WON'T WORK...WHAT WENT WRONG?

You need to see the dealer for information on the radio code. Also sue O'Reilly auto for improper installation of the new battery.

Hi have a renault master van, installed new battery, radio not working, need new code, num,s from side of radio are 8200 345 522, 8200354 52 2t, securty q061

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Renault service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

New battery installed, no volume in radio

This is a common issue. Your radio needs a security code entered into it. You can get this code at your local dealership.

I have a 2005 volkswagen beetle that needs a new battery. I've read on one site where a memory keeper is needed to be installed in the AC outlet before the old battery is removed. Is this necessary? Thanks...

It's only necessary if you don't have radio code handy. If you have radio code, then go for it. If not, get memory adapter for anytime you disconnect battery. NOTE: if you don't have radio code, be prepared to go to dealer w/ VIN # to get code.

What steps do you need to go through to replace the battery on a 2006 325xi?

Hi,
Before pulling out the old battery, you should write down the code of your radio so that when you install the new battery the radio will be asking for the operation code.
Replacing battery for that model should be less than 5 minutes to install new one, otherwise everything will be reset.
Hope that helps you out!
thanks for using Fixya!

2 solutions
1. use a jumper cables from another vehicle when you take take cables off, install new battery, remove jumpers
2. install battery as normal and drive to dealer to get code after, make a note of code
note: engine will run rough for two or three drive cycles if you lose power to ECU. This is another reason to jumper battery

New Battery installed, need a code to use radio

You can pull the radio and get the codes or call the dealer and get them up to you. You will need your vin # in the window and you will have ti have your name on the registration number before they will give it to you.
