Question about Wacom Bamboo (MTE450K1) Graphic Tablet

3 Answers

A constant click.

My tablet is only about a month old. (not even that!) And now, if I'm hovering over hte actual tablet it acts like I'm clicking. bad thing is when I actually click with it, it doesn't read it.

Right now the tablet is useless with this probblem.

I saw another solution to this on another one. It suggests you take the pen nib out, wash it and leave it out of the pen for 24 hours.

I have the same problem I suggest uninstaling everything that sounds like it's wacom related or tablet related. Once your computer is 110% clean of anything to do with a tablet restart it and then try instaling it all over again.
The problem could be in the pen tip because my pen tip is worn out and the nice point it had when it was first bought isn't there any more, but I hope this works for you : )

After the instalation is complete close everything. Don't start the tutorial. If you start doing the tutorial the tablet and pen will just start acting up again.

Why won't my wacom grip pen click when it touches the tablet instead of hovering and selecting text?

Have you tried pulling the nib out (the end bit you draw with)? It could be that something is sticking the nib further inside the pen than it should, which is telling the pen you are applying pressure. As far as I know there is a little spring inside the pen that the nib pushes on when you touch the pen to the tablet. Perhaps the spring is permanently squished in.

Intuos 4 pen clicking while hovering

You may have an issue with the drivers. If you're using the drivers on the CD, try updating to the latest drivers:

http://cdn.wacom.com/U/drivers/IBMPC/pro/WacomTablet_635w3.exe

If you're using the latest drivers and the issue persists, try rolling back your drivers to the previous release:

My Genius Easypen i405X tablet keeps clicking when I hover with pen

Hello :) we have the same problem regarding the same brand and product. But I got mine working just a while ago.
Try this: Control Panel>Pen and Touch
under pen options, there should be settings regarding the pen buttons. Unclick the "use the pen button as a right-click equivalent"
hope this helps though although it's been a year XD

Since you got this just a few days ago, you should take it back to where you got it and talk to them about what is going on. There is a warranty and you don't want to void that!

My Tablet pen wont release, it acts like im clicking and holding

I'm just gonna pass on a email from Tech Support I recieved.

"It sounds as though your pen has pressure in proximity. This is present when the tip sensor of your pen is stuck down causing the pen to think that it’s clicking before it’s even touching anything. What you may want to try would be to remove the nib from the tip end of the pen, it pulls straight out with a pair or tweezers or your teeth, and leave that out overnight with the pen left on its side. Place the nib back in the morning and if the issue persists then you may have a defective pen tip."

The rest consists of personal info and warranty advice so I'll leave it there.

Pen stuck on click?

This is exactly whats happening with mine! I got the tablet from a friend, and I ordered a new pen because hers had died, which was why she was giving it to me. I've only had it for a month or so. A solution to this would be wonderful.

Hover not working

I also had the M609 from Genius and the exact same thing happened to me. Worked great for about three months then the hover stopped working. I sent it back to the manufacturer and they sent a replacement for free. How about three months later the replacement started to do the same thing. So I called Genius and the tech support guy told me they actually discontinued making this model. He didn't say why either. I suspect there were complaints about the faulty sensor. So they offered to send another replacement, but this time it would be the upgrade the M609x. Give them a call for your replacement. I hope this doesn't happen again. I'll keep you guys posted.

Tablet gone insane.

I'm from ukraine, sorry my english;

Reason:
Random clicks hapens becouse moving tip not return to the front. It continue to sent chaotic pressure messages. Some times, when you start to lift pen, tip start to resilient and we have ugly dots again.

Here is solution:
May be auto silicon oil wil help by reducing rubbing. Or harder spring will help?
I use little bit of plasticine. I push it under the tip. It prevent tip from resilienting. I have no problems, since i made this.

Good luck.
