I assume you are asking about Windows ?

If so have you turned on the Auto Update in Control Panel ?

Try going to Tools on Window Explorer drop down to Windows Update and it should all come across unless of course your Firewall or Anti Virus is blocking it

didnt specify system--generic answer --if there is no power back up it will go blank--as to back up or notification of a down camera you need to check with system provider or installer about what your system does or doesnt do

Adding custom text notification sounds on a Samsung NOTE 5

Took me awhile to figure this out as doesnt seem to be much info on it. If you try to change your text notification sound all you can select is default sounds that are preloaded on the phone when you get it.
To get custom notification sounds you will first need to down load some. You can do this by surfing the web or find apps to download from. Once you have the MP3 file you simply copy the MP3 file to the "Notification" folder in the Note 5. (Use "my files" app to find the folder) Then go back into settings and change your notification sound, you will now see the new MP3 file or files you copied. This works the exact same way as custom ring tones but the MP3 file must be put into "Ringtone" folder of the Note 5. This is where I messed up in the first place. I assumed the Note 5 would look in the ringtone folder for notification sounds. Nope, Notifications has its own folder......

How to disable automatic updates on XP windows?

To turn on Automatic Updates yourself, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
  2. Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select one of the following options. We recommend that you select the Automatic (recommended) Automatically download recommended updates for my computer and install them option.
    • Automatic (recommended) Automatically download recommended updates for my computer and install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to find updates on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site that apply to your computer. Updates are downloaded automatically in the background, and you are not notified or interrupted during this process. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are being downloaded. You can point to the icon to view the download status. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates that are scheduled for installation.
      • Click to select the day and time for scheduled updates to download and install. You can schedule Automatic Updates for any time of day. However, your computer must be on at the scheduled time for updates to be installed.
      • You can choose to install the updates as soon as they are finished downloading. To do this, click the download message (or update icon), and then click Install. If you choose not to install the updates when they finish downloading, Windows starts the installation on your set schedule.
    • Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to automatically download updates from the Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are being downloaded. You can point to the icon to view the download status. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates that are scheduled for installation.
      • When you want to install the downloaded update, click the message (or update icon), and then click Install to install the update.
      • If you do not want to install a downloaded update, click Details, and then click to clear the check box next to that update to decline it.
    • Notify me but don't automatically download or install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to search for downloads from the Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site. An Automatic Updates icon and message appear in the notification area of your taskbar when new updates are available to download or to install.
      • Click the icon or message to view the updates. If you do not want to download a selected update, click to clear the check box next to that update to decline it. Click Start Download to download the selected updates. The Automatic Updates icon remains in the notification area of your taskbar while the updates are being downloaded. You can point to the icon to view the download status.
      • When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area stating that the updates are ready to install. Click the Automatic Updates icon or the message, and then click Install to install the updates.
  3. Click OK.

Hi

To show these notifications, there is software utility should be installed to indicate that.
You can install the software utility from the drivers' CD, or download it from the manufacture's website.

Please, Tell us your results.

"You may be a victim

Welcome to FixYa!

If you're seeing notifications that the copy of Windows that is installed on your PC might not be genuine, or that you might be a victim of counterfeit software, it's likely that your copy of Windows was not properly activated or is otherwise not genuine. To fix this, click the notification and follow the steps to either repair Windows or-if you have inadvertently obtained counterfeit software-buy genuine Windows.

If you are using Windows XP, download and install the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification Application. It will scan your operating system and will remove the annoying message if it's a legitimate copy of windows.

Keep me posted.

Why am does this message "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation" promptly appearing on my desktop?

It means that the copy of microsoft windows installed on your system in not a Genuine Copy (not original, duplicate copy). If you purchased it from a retailer or from an online store etc.. you can complain them about this issue. We can get rid of this notification, but it's not legal. So I don't recommend the method, but instead you proceed with the complain. I hope you understand what I mean.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.
