Question about Toshiba e-Studio163 Copier

Change the current status counter value (08-400) ?5?, ?7? or ?9? to ?0? for [C44]. this is given by "didi2005". but not explained how to do it using e-studio163 panel.?

Power off machine.....hold "0" and "8" while powering back on. Continue holding until display changes to service mode.

Hi,
Check and clean the thermistor. Replace if required. C440 occurs due over heat.
Change the current status counter value (08-400) "5", "7" or "9" to "0"
- The error occurred during warming-up: "5"
- The error occurred after the equipment has become ready: "7"
- The temperature detected by the main thermistor is 230 C or higher: "9"
- The temperature detected by the edge thermistor is 280 C or higher: "9"
Reset Procedure of C 440 is.....
(1) Turn ON the power while 0 and 8 are pressed simultaneously.
(2) Key in "400", then press START.
(3) Change the current status value to "0", then press ENTER or INTERRUPT (to cancel C 440).
(4) Turn the power OFF and then ON. Make sure that the equipment enters the normal ready state.

C-440 = Fuser is abnormal after abnormality judgment

Change the current status counter value (08-400) to "0"
To do this hold down 0 and 8 then turn the machine on.
When the machine is on enter 4 0 0 then press copy start.
change the value to 0 then press enter.
Restart the machine.

C44 Abnormal fuser after abnormality judgment

1,2.3. Check the thermistors, IH control board, IH coil and LGC board
Check the above components following the procedure 1, 2 and 3 for [C41].

4. Clear the status counter
Change the current status counter value (08-400) “4” to “0” for [C43] and “5”, “7” or “9” to “0” for [C44], taking
the same procedure as that for [C41].
* The status counter value is as follows in the following cases. Change them to "0" respectively.
• The error occurred during warming-up: "4" or "5"
• The error occurred after the machine has become ready: "6"
• The temperature detected by the center thermistor is 230°C or higher: "9"
• The temperature detected by the side thermistor is 270°C or higher: "9"

Did u clear the status counter ?

After repairing the matter which caused the error [C448], perform the following:

(1) Turn the power ON while [0] and [8] are pressed simultaneously.
(2) Key in "400", then press the [START] button.
(3) Change the displayed current status counter value "32" to "0", then press [ENTER] or [INTER-
RUPT] (to cancel C448).
(4) Turn the power OFF and then back ON. Make sure that the equipment enters the normal status

First u must make memory clear for the machine
by pressing 1+3+* and power on the machine at the same time
may clear the error code .
