Please check the brand of Motherboard if it is built-in or the PCI Card Brand. and browse it in the net with another PC with the NET connection, to the manufacturer websites. and search it with corresponding model of the motherboard or the PCI Card. and download the Driver's and save to USB and paste it to ur PC and install it.
if this tips is helpful. please rate it. thank you.

I need drivers for mercury motherboard PI845GLM. Where I can find same? I have lost my CD.

You will have to search the Mercury website for an updated driver download and download them from the website. Google search with the title you used for this post and you should be able to get the site you need.

Switched computer from dialup to lan but now having web browsing issuse and cant get online.

Hi,
This is mainly because of the network settings in your PC. Please cross verify the below points to resovle it:
1. The LAN is connected to internet 2. The LAN supports DHCP, else configure the manual IP address and correct DNS and gateway. 3. Verify the gateway is pingable from yuor PC.
It should work. Please come back and vote for me if this turns to be helpful for you. Thnx

Cannot contact dhcp

check whether the drivers are installed properly this can be seen from the device manager if not installed install the required drivers.

then check whether private ip address is assigned by default if it is assigned means the cable has no problem.

if the private ip is also not assigned means check cable

thanks please rate me

TRENDnet TEW-432BRP router cannot obtain IP through DHCP

it seems that ur PC & cable modem configuration is ok, now the problem is with ur router WAN interface configuration. the problem would be one out of 2 - first to check whether ur router wan interface is configured properly to obtain IP address from DHCP (if possible, u can give the static ip address with same series as cable modem) second to check with ur ISP.

No access to set up modem or router

you might have configured your lan settings wrongly.

If your modem was setup for DHCP then you configure your lan to receive IP address automatically, DNS automatically.

If DHCP is disabled on the modem, you have to USE static IP Address for your lan ip and default gateway should be your modem default ip.

the default IP for modem is usually 192.168.1.1
if DHCP is disabled on the modem the sys ip is 192.168.1.3

So Configure your LAN setting as follow and Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address url.

Lan Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

click ok.
and type the above url, press enter the modem will ask you for username and password.

Good Luck.

Cant connect to internet

Hi ianzky, If the PC with the ECS P4VMM2 motherboard is connected to a network with a hub or router check if you can see the other PCs assuming their sharing is turned on. If yes then it is possible that you have to simply set the IP Add, Subnet, specially the Internet gateway and DNS in your IP/Networking configuration of the P4VMM2 PC assuming you want to manually install these numbers and not to Auto Obtain. Just make sure you follow the numbers of the other PCs except for the last digit(s) of the P4VMM2 PC IP Add. If you can not see the other PCs in your network, then it is possible that your lan cable is defective, try checking if the lights in your hub/router and/or at the back of your lan card lits up when you plug your cable both ends. If yes then it is good if not you have to replace your cable. Since you installed a new LAN card, I will assume that you have checked if the drivers are installed in the Device Manager and there are no conflicts or yellow mark(s). Both versions of the ECS P4VMM2 (7.3 & 8.1) have built-in LAN, if you want to continue using the new lan card it might help conserve resources if you disable the built-in lan in your bios or use the original built-in lan instead and reconfigure. In Win XP, try uninstalling the lan in Device Manager, on reboot it will be auto reinstalled and you can manually configure again. If by a remote chance that you are using 98SE, try checking your root file MSDOS.sys and see if there is an entry that say Network=0, change it to 1. I doubt if the motherboard is defective since you already tried installing a new lan card. Good luck. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
