If you do it by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory card before making the connection.
If you do it by putting the card into a card reader, use the "Backup" or "Copy" command to copy the pictures from internal memory to card. I wish I could tell you exactly where in the menu system the command is, but without knowing the model of your Sony Cybershot camera I'm afraid I can't do that.
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.
Hi, If the camera displays Memory card error or No Memory Card when a memory card is inserted or any of the above error messages, make sure that the card is inserted properly. If this is the case, you may wish to Format the memory card in the camera using the Setup Menu option [Format] as shown below. Please be aware that formatting the memory card will remove any images currently stored on the card along with any other data. This can also be caused when images shot with another camera are stored on the memory card. If after formatting the card in the camera the error persists, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service. If the card appears to be defective you may wish to contact the memory card manufacturer. Thank you!!
Are you saying that you have no memory card in the camera and it is telling you that the memory is full? If so, then the "internal memory" of the camera is full. If you want to use a memory card in the camera, you must get rid of the pics in the internal memory by formatting it with no card in the camera.
Hi there, I suggest you replace your battery. Because after charging it will showing full but it is not real. Because you using in last 3 - 4 years and thats why the life of battery is finished. If you changed the battery already then remove the memory card and try to on the camera. If that time its working well then replace the memory card. Thanks & hope its helpfull.
Almost all modern digital cameras have little if any internal memory. That which they do have is usually only their to be able to demonstrate the camera's features to customers trying them out in shops, etc. It is standard practice to use removable memory cards as this allows easy transfer to computers, printers and digital picture-frames. Also if you were going away on holiday and fill the memory it is simple to replace the memory card with a fresh blank one and carry on taking snaps.
I recommend you get a 2GB 'SD' memory card to start you off. They are very cheap these days compared to recent years.
When you check the card on the computer does it say its full or is their space left on it? Also it sounds like it is only using the internal memory. Have you checked the settings to make sure it is using the memory card? Thanks, Lee
Sometimes when you edit pictures on your memory stick, it will transfer the files to a different folder. Then the card will seem blank to the camera. Format the memory card using the PC to clean it for good.
