1) Tell them to be quiet. The kids are sleeping.
2) Promise them a nice quiet vacation in the Bahamas, if they will just be quiet for now.
3) In a firm voice tell them that they CAN be replaced.
OR,
1) Suggest you replace the Thermal Paste on the Processor.
It has dried out.
2) Also clean the inside of the computer out. Suggest it is dirty inside.
(Wuz trying to just be funny................Alan?....................Alan?)
The top of a Processor (CPU), and the bottom of the fined Heatsink that sits on it; are not perfectly smooth.
A magnified view would detail, 'Ridges, Valleys, and Pitholes'.
When the two parts are mated together, Air Pockets are created.
Air is an Insulator in this case, Not a Conductor.
Thermal Paste fills the above imperfections, and is an Excellent conductor of heat.
Thermal Paste dries up over time. Looses it's thermal conductivity properties.
It's cheap in cost.
Can guide you step by step in replacing the Thermal Paste, and also cleaning out the inside of the computer.

Hi drabbich, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Why do you need to replace the thermal paste? Are you asking how to replace the paste? Do you have some already?
