Question about Farenheit TID-530 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

Getting the TID-530 to play while in park. Unconnected "brake"

Dvd won't play because the brake line is not connected anything. I don't know what to connect the Brake line to inorder to get the dvd to play. It won't play if I'm driving or parked. I have a Ram 1500 1998 and I taped the wires together except for the brake line

Try a cut off switch which should override the main connection and grnd so that it can play while you drive or are in park.cost about 4-8 bucks.

Sound works but there is no display on the monitor. it worked for the first few days then now cant see nothing. Does the park brake wire have to be hooked up in order to show the display cause i know it...

  • Yes it does. The emergency brake wire is a safety feature. If you don't have it hooked up it won't even display anything. If you do have it hooked up then you have to have the emergency brake engaged to be able to view DVD'S. The manufacturer does this so people can't just unhook the brake wire and watch DVD'S while driving

Not being able to watch dvd player while in park, can hear dvd,but nothing on screen

this is due to a safety feature fitted on the system that only allows you to watch the DVD when the park brake is on. the only way you can get round this is to disconnect the wire on the park brake, and earth it to the vehicle chassis

Ddx512 Kenwood Parking off problem

Indash DVD units are programmed not to allow DVD's to play while the car is in motion. The unit only allows DVD viewing when the car is parked and the parking brake activated.

To get around this, you simply splice the parking break wire from the radio to the -NEG wire of the radio.

If this doesnt help let me know.

Ground the handbrake wire to the outerpart of the "line out" connector if it's not in use, works a treat

Dvd won`t work correctly

If your getting the "Can't view dvd in drivers view must apply parking brake" you need to recheck your ground. You might want to try another location for the ground. If the unit is VM9410 you can simply ground the parking brake wire and you'll be good to go.

Connecting dvd player to logitech x-530

Well, if you have a DVD-ROM, all you need is a video card with a s-video out to connect to your TV and then you could put your DVD player in your room and play your DVD's from your PC. Another way to do it (without having to buy anything) is to connect the sound of your DVD player to a stereo receiver and then plug the sub into the headphone jacks and the speakers to the sub.
