With a boat 44 years old, your boat engines may have been replaced or at minimum, overhauled. You might resubmit your question with some easy information you can add:
Gasoline or diesel engines?
Many were Crusader engines & you can usually see the name like this on the top portion of your engines.
You can see what color the valve covers are (blue, black, etc.).
You can see if they are V-8 engines if they have two long valve covers on top.
Most engines have a name plate on them (yours may be gone if original engines). Any mechanic you run into might find it quickly or recognize the engines.

In all honesty, its probably impossible to get the original wiring diagram. Also, I would be willing to bet that there has been alot of re-wiring and changes made to the wiring and electrical system of the boat. If you describe exactly what your trying to do, install fix or re-wire I may be able to better assist

If it has a OMC or Volvo most are in the top of the outdrive. If your motor looks like a car engine it can be if the front just like a car. This website claims they have online access to repair manuals so I would look there first. Go to other websites and look for impellers with the brand of motor, like Volvo impellers, Mercruiser impellers and some of those sites have excellent parts diagrams.

If you find the hull identification number which is always stamped on the right side of the transom then the last two numbers indicate a year. Ex. BUJ5C45208 Would be a 2008.

is it carbureted or fuel injected? are your warning horns working? if it iscarbureted then a few easy test can be done to find out. if its fuel injected then its a little harder but not impossible.(1) check compression. without the year model I'm giving you a average numbers. all cylinders need to be over 100 lbs and equal each other within 5 lbs.(2) check spark. use a spark gap tester all cylinders should jump a half inch gap. if you have good compression and good spark fuel is the problem nine times out of ten. clean fuel lines replace primer bulb and replace all fuel filters. Yamaha has a gravity filter under the engine coul. take it to the lake if no improvement. clean carbs. same test to be and fuel system service used of fuel injected engines. if no improvement in engine preformance then you will have to take it to a dealer to test with computer.
