Please tell me which holes i plug my speakers into, cant get sound :-(

The green hole or if no colour there should be a symbol next to the hole matching the same on the speaker's jack. OR...

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.
Thumbs up please if this works for you, thanks.

Possibly, your adapter of small to big is not a stereo adapter. Seems like a mono adapter.

No sound at laptop speaker but audio output is ok

I have lenovo notepad 3000n100 with winXP sp2.
I downloaded realtek audio from ibm site and installed.
Now sound is coming at my output port but the in-built laptop speaker is not giving any sound output.
The hardware is ok as the sound was coming at in-built speaker before formatting. The previous audio driver set up file i have lost.
Plz help.

Computer and speakers are not interacting. The power is OK, connection to computer is Ok and I can not her sound.

Verify that the audio card is in the Device Manager list and has NO conflicts. If it is in the list with NO conflicts, verify that the cord from the speakers is in the correct output on the audio card (typically GREEN output). If you DO NOT see the audio card in the Device Manager list or it has some type of symbol ( ? or ! ) next to it, try restarting the PC and enter the SETUP menu (or BIOS). Go to integrated peripherals and check to see if the on-board audio is enabled/disabled (if you have a motherboard with on-board audio, and no other audio expansion cards in the system, this option should be enabled, and just the opposite if there is an expansion audio card). Save and exit, let system boot up. You should now be able to see the device in the Device Manager. Next open SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES in the CONTROL PANEL, and verify that there is a bound sound device to the system. Reinstall drivers and restart (if you bought this PC from a manufacturer, there should be a disc with these drivers on it) . If none of this works, you may need a new audio card.

No sound from audio output This set is new.

The speakers need some kind of amplification, if you have something like a set of computer speakers connected and they are not powered they won't work, try connecting them to the headphone jack.
Let me know the set up, what kind of speakers, audio settings from the tv menu.

Audio do not play

Unplug speaker connection. Go to Control Panel, double-click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" and on "Volume" tab make sure "mute" is not checked and that volume is sufficiently up there. If thats ok select "Sounds" tab and go to "Program events", select any Windows sounds and check to see if you can hear the sound by clicking on the arrow next to it. If you can hear sound its ok so then check your speakers connection to correct sound output jack and that external speaker is powered on.

No sound

If you have a constant 2.49 volts on the speaker output Im surprised that your speakers are not smoking or making a BIG racket!!!? Sorry my friend you must have measured wrong as if you had a constant voltage on the speaker output, unluss the unit is a real cheapo unit, you wouldnt have speakers left or you would have smoke, as there should never be any DC voltage on the speaker outputs and if it was an ac voltage it would be making a big noise. Sounds like you should get a new unit or take this one into a repair shop. Good Luck
