My caller ID is enabled but every call i receive is a private number

Caller ID being enabled does not make the person calling you reveal their number. You are just getting called by people who block their number.

My samsung gt-s5233s not showing me caller id anyone calls me it does nt display number but shows unknown calling..

If people have thier number blocked you will not see who it is. Most cell phones with "caller ID" will only ID the numbers that you have in your contact list. In other words' if the person is in your contacts they should show up on the screen by Name. Try it with a call from a contact. There is a selction in SETTING to HIDE your number. Again / if they have this selected you can't see thier number.

How do you get the number of a previous call? I cannot figure that out. For example. Call comes in. Phone chat. THEN, afterwards, wanting to retrieve the number of person who called. Thank you very,...

You need to enable caller id in order to see the numbers of the people who are calling you. Caller id costs about $6.50 per month depending on which phone company you use. When you have it activated, and you want to see the number of the last person who called you press the down button on the dial in the center of your phone and it shows the last one. If you continue pressing the down button you can see all callers as long as they have not blocked their numbers.

How do i get my cosmo phone from a vice telling me who is calling

Caller ID on cellular phones works different than on landline phones. Unless the person calling is saved to your phonebook, it will tell you the number of the person calling, but not the name (unless the person calling has caller ID blocking, in which case it will say blocked). There is not way to change this, as it is a limitation of cellular caller ID systems.

I have a Nokia e71, and everytime I call someone the caller ID on the person's phone says "private caller". How can I change this?

Telephone settings
Select Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone.
Select from the following:
• Call — Define general call settings.

Call settings
To display your phone number to the person you are
calling, select Call > Send my caller ID > Yes. To let
the network determine whether your caller ID is sent,
select Set by network.

If you block a number does the caller know?

Yes, if the person has caller-ID. Depending on the phone and phone service, the person you call will see either "Blocked Number" or "Private Call".

I don'tknow how to block a contact on a lg arena phone

please follow the steps carefully

  1. Step 1 Call the T-Mobile customer servicemag-glass_10x10.gif phone number located on your phone bill. Tell them you would like to hear about T-Mobile's call blocking service. The customer service then tells you how you can block all the calls coming from your T-Mobile cell phone by adding this service to your plan. When you select this service, anytime you dial a number from your T-Mobile cell phone, the number will come up Restricted on the call receiver's caller ID.
  2. Step 2 Dial *67 prior to any number on your T-Mobile phone that you want to block, if you want to just block one call at a time and choose which numbers you dial are blocked. This is another way you can call someone and to have it appear as a Restricted call on the other end.
  3. Step 3 Program your T-Mobile phone to block all calls to any one individual. Do this by tapping Add a Contact on your T-Mobile phone. Type in the name of the person you want to call. Then tap Add Phone Number. Punch in *67 then the number.
  4. Step 4 Tap the person's name to call him, when you have the person's number programmed into your phone with the *67 first. Every time you tap the person's name, you will be calling him from a blocked number.
hope you dooooo...
please rate me

thank you

Call blocking

I think you were asking about how to reject incoming calls, but if you were asking about blocking your own caller id there is another way.

Under settings -> Phone -> all calls - > caller ID

here you can set your caller id to be given to everyone, only people in your contacts or no one!
