Refer not getting cold - Maytag MBR2256KES / MBL2256KES

This is a sensor error- need to get the relevant sensor replaced.

Is the fan running in the freezer?

It could be either....
It is best to check and see if you are getting power to the fan...power to fan, the fan is bad...no power the board is bad...

check to make sure the shutter between the freezer and refrigerator section is operating. The shutter has a small motor that opens and closes on the refer side thermostat. The shutter is what lets the cold air from the freezer circulate into the refer compartment. Could also be a bad thermostat in the refer section.

You moved the refer from one house to another, did you clean the refer first? was there a dusty old piece of cardboard hanging off the back? that cardboard needs to be in place for proper air flow through the condenser coil.

if the ambient temp get below 32
you freezer wont come on and actually begin to get warm (insulation factor)
but the refer will seem cold because of the low ambiant temp is the temp inside
we go in the refer alot more than the freezer

UNPLUG THE FRIDGE FOR 5-8 HOURS LET COILS UNFROST/CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR FAN IS RUNNING.

it.s the frezer that makes the refer cold.the evap fan in the frezer moves that chilled air to the refer.if that fan is slow or any blockage inthe air ways it slows that process.Also the frezer should be close to 0 degrees if theres a defrost prob that would make fresh food warmer
