Blue screen on trying to load programs through CD or play DVD

Right after the purchase of the notebook as soon as i had installed the software and tried to connect my blackberry phone, the blue screen started coming .I approached the dealer and they suggested that the computer be cleaned up and all systems restarted again.
following that we again did the neccessary work following which right after of set up of software , the blue screen emerged. again we created a recovery dics(as suggested by their helpline assisitant on that day ) and tried it again.
I just used the comp to play dvd's for a while to test it and when trying to reinstall the software , the blue screen has emerged again.
obviously there is a serious problem in the notebook which is not being addressed.
The Toshiba guys said it was a motherboard problem. They took 25 days to return the laptop and said it has been repaired. But when I put in my Blackberry CD or any other DVD , a blue screen comes. I cannot load any program too.

Well.....in that case for u to repair this.....u have to take the risk of taking away the case....u remove the keyboard bezel....lift it up....unscrew any nut under the bezel....make sure u dont force any component to loose inside......u have to remove all the component inside the case...remove the screen....make u get the motherboard...when u have the motherboard out of the case then u will have to remove the cmos battery(complimentry metal oxide semi conductor)after u have remove the cmos battery then u can power it on....then after that...u can fix the cmos battery back then power it on....the fault is stored in the system memory...when u have erase the cmos then u have all the fault gone....then u can take the risk and couple the system back..then u will have ur system back working properly.....

My computer is dead.I dont know how to reinstall from recovery CD-room.I tried but I do not see the blue screen start up.

Hi there,If you have the Windows Install CD, you're on the right track.Make sure the CD is in your CD/DVD drive before you turn on the computer. As soon as you power the computer on, hit F8 until you see a menu come up, asking what you want to boot from. (If F8 does not work, try it again with F2, ESC, and Enter). When you see the menu, select CD/DVD Drive. You will then see on the screen "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." - Press any key on your keyboard. After that, you'll see the files start to load, then you'll get to the blue screen. From there, you can follow the onscreen instructions!Good luck!Alex

I need to find a driver for the cd dvd drive on my acer aspire 5520-5865

There's no need for a "driver" -- Windows should _directly_ support it, to let you read CD and DVD media.

However, if you want to "play" a DVD movie, you'll need to have software (either supplied by ACER or purchased online, such as PowerDVD) to play the movie.

CD drive not recognized error code 0F00.281A

Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or not recognized by Windows or other programs, so you cannot play or access a CD or DVD. This issue might have occurred after you installed, uninstalled, or updated a program

Click Start, click My Computer, and then see whether the drive is listed.
Is the drive listed? loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation');
If the drive is listed, try to play or access a CD or DVD.
If you can play or access a CD or DVD, you are finished with this article.

If you cannot play or access a CD or DVD, you may have to reinstall some programs. Some programs might not be able to use your CD or DVD drive until you reinstall those programs. If the problem occurs again when you install or uninstall those programs, contact the manufacturer of the program to see if an update is available that solves the problem. Some examples of programs that might be affected are:
  • iTunes software by Apple
  • Nero software by Nero Inc
  • Roxio Creator software by Sonic Solutions
  • Zune software by Microsoft
After reinstalling your programs, if you can play or access a CD or DVD, you are finished with this article.

If you still cannot play or access a CD or DVD,

If the drive is not listed, remove and reinstall the existing drivers.

Sir i am a dealing in notebook. i purchased a compaq presario cq60 104tu .. and also license win xp sp3 . but when i started a boot from that cd ... it dosent work and it showing a blue screen... ( press...

your in windows xp and youre try to install sp3 from a disk i take it.
either the disk is corrupt, missing files or wrong version .causing blue screen.(fatal exception)
you could try leaving the disk in and reboot ...
when in windows select run D: or what ever letter is assigned to cd drive .( start , run , type in d: and enter)
this will show files on cd/dvd. drag and drop the .exe program into a file or on desktop and try to run.if it runs the cd/dvd is the prob (corrupt, virus, missing files.) if it does run its the software incompatable or faulty(incomplete files or wrong version)
either way the cd will be useless.
you can download sp3 (free)as long as you are using a registered os.

Disney dvd player wont play movies (dvd) but plays music (cd) fine

Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.

Asus laptop NTLDR missing

Hi supertwins,
Once you deleted the drive C: (You have trashed the operating system.
You're Asus driver CD will not help you at this stage.
Did you receive a restore CD? If yes you load that into the CDROM drive & boot to the CDROM.
(You do not have a restore CD)?
Than you are left with the Windows CD. Load the windows CD into the CD-ROM drive. Power up the notebook. Start pressing the F8 key on the keyboard. Soon you will see a screen that says: Please select boot device: Choose the CD-ROM drive that has the windows CD in it. High light the CDROM & press enter key. Windows should start to load. Follow the instructions on you're screen & install windows. During the install windows will restart & you will see: to load from CD press any key... (DO NOT TOUCH anything! Allow windows to continue all by it's self.
This same screen will come up at lease twice. (Just let it go).
When windows has finished you can than remove the windows CD & load the Asus CD into the notebook. Install all the software on the Asus CD. When finished installing the software from Asus, update windows through windows update service.
Good Luck!

Mike
