Invalid ID or password, after a screen of changing password
I have been using Yahoo for 4 years with no problems until a few days ago, I keep receiving a page from Yahoo! about changing and confirming my password. As I am getting annoyed, I decided to go on with it, thus inputting in my current password and a new password to get this issue over with. Then on the next day, I received calls from my friends that they received an email from me, stating that I am in London and was in a debt, which is not possible since I have not been to London myself. I feel that this email is a spam. The thing is that it actually sends it to all friends in my contact list. As I am going to log into my account to change the password in case if someone is using my account without my awareness, I found out later that day I could not even log into my account even though the password I have inputted is right. Hope to hear from you soon! Please do reset my password and emailed me a new set of password to the email as stated above, as I urgently need it to check for important mails. any soultions?

Re: Invalid ID or password, after a screen of changing...
Yahoo and other sites always caution user about giving out password on other website. They even caution that they will never ask for password. The mistake which you have committed can't be undone because once the hacker got your password he must had immediately changed thats why you are unable to login. the only option you have at present is open yahoo login page click forgot password and if you remember your security question and your date of birth which you entered at the time of signing then you can change your password that too if the hacker has not modified. Hope he might not have that much time. or else go to blackyahoo dot com and hire a hacker to hack your password they charge around 18 dollars per id.

I've got several ideas to try to get around "Invalid ID or password. Please try again."
Set your CAPS LOCK key correctly. Passwords are case sensitive. Be sure to keep this in mind when entering your password.
Wait up to 24 hours. If you recently requested a new password or changed your password, this allows your account to update.
Sign in with the correct Yahoo! ID. Make sure that you are using the correct Yahoo! ID when signing in to your account. If you forgot your Yahoo! ID, you can search for your Yahoo! ID online.
Delete your cookie files. A cookie
is a small piece of information stored by your browser that helps
identify you. If your cookie isn't being accepted correctly, you'll be
logged out of your account as soon as you move to a different page.
To delete your cookies, close all browser windows, find the "cookies"
directory, and delete the cookie files inside. To find cookies
directories on a PC, search for "cookies" using the Search function in
your Start menu that pops up from the lower-left corner. On a Mac, press
Command-F to start Spotlight, which searches your system.
Clear your browser's cache. At times, it's necessary to clear your browser's cache .
The cache is the memory your browser uses to store content of the web
pages that you visit. Storing that content lets your browser load those
same pages more quickly the next time you visit them.
If you're still having problems after trying these steps, please request a new password. When you receive your new password, you can change it.
somebody is trying to hack your password and for security reason yahoo has blocked that just wait for some more days, and try to open only once .if it gets open change all your account setting and remember that. Try to give the alternate email ID for password resetting
when registering to yahoomail its not me woh signed up but i gave my friend to sign up for me.so,he just gave me the id and password, not giving me security questions and i was comfortable myself not knowing that they are important.so, one day i wanted to change a password because it was known to a certain person.in the process i was shown that i changed the password successively and i was told to login to comfirm the new password,as i was trying to login,my yahoo id and the password were denied saying they were invalid.i tried the previous one but all the same it was the same invalid shown. After that,i thought of my contacts unfortunately no to be found and they are very important.my previous mail address was email@example.com and the password was 12345678 please ...help me as possible as you can.
That sounds as if your account was either hacked or deleted. In case of a hacked account send a mail describing your problem to firstname.lastname@example.org. If this doesn’t help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572, explain to a customer service person what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original info with the changed info.
To see how well this works, go to the links below…:-)
If your account was deleted and not hacked, Yahoo will let you know when you try the suggestion above. Good luck!
[Solution # 2]
try to log out and on internet option, click to delete temporary internet files, browsing history, delete cookies and restart your PC. wait for about 3~5minutes before to open the IE again and sign in. click this link to change your passwordhttp://edit.yahoo.com/config/change_pw
Click the "Forget your ID or password" link at the lower right of your screen, it will help you retrieve your password for sure. And you can have your email address back...as long as you have the information needed to verify your account, one of it is the the answer to your secret question...good luck!
