Re: printer is on but won't print
Reinstall the driver ...and clean the folder where the errors gathered ..cause if not ..it wil print them all with the first chance ...also check the toner and other related issues..but I suspect is the driver ...remove and reinstall clean

You want print a large file? you will get this problem. Solution: 1. divide your file to small printing jobs: example: 50 pages must be printed 4 times 12 pages. 2. Add memory. 3.If your problem continue contact HP support you can also open this link: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=445194&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=445194&objectID=c00411492#A17
The problem is in the spooling. You can access the printer features and set your spooling to finish before it starts printing. This is simply gathering all that it is going to print and then begin printing. Most printers are set up to print right away but it could take longer for the next pages. You could also print only one page at a time and then the next when it is done. But this may not be practical for your needs. Let me know how you do.
If the boxes are a rectangle for every letter, try changing the font, especially if the printer is an old model and the font is recent, if it does it for every font, type up a letter (or type =rand(3) in word and it will put some blurb up for you) then press the Alt key at same time Print Scrn key. Then open paint and go to edit menu / paste. go File Print preferences and set the page to 1 by 1 pages, File / Print preview, if good Print.
The printer should print it, as it is taking it as a picture file, if that same font won't print straight from word (and gives you little squares) it means the printer doesn't have that font listed in it's memory
If it is the case, buy a new printer, or use an older font that works.
well as it seams u have given the order to ur pc to prin a test page before....but it wasnt responting so u keeped pressing the bottom..! so to fix that u can go to contro panel>printers and faxes and there u can find ur printers name...after that duble-click on ur printer and it shows a printer dialog...then delete ALL the documents that is ready to print...after that u r ready to print again!! but always remember that if u "say" to ur printer to print a page and it doesnt respont as soon as posible, it doesnt mean it wont print!! just click ONCE the print bottom the other time :)
This apparently is a fairly common problem with the 2800 series printer and associated with connection to a PC using USB. It can only be overcome by manually configuring the printer?s USB port to work in standard mode rather than at high-speed USB2.0 mode which probably won?t be to much of a problem. Here is a link from a support page on HP?s site that should walk you through the process:
