Question about Vivitar ViviCam 8400 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Although USB Mode is set to MASS STORAGE, still max out at 28MB

Although we have the set the Vivitar SETTINGS to USB Mode = MASS STORAGE versus PC CAMERA mode, it appears when it got to 28 MB of pictures on our 2 GIG san disc, it told us it was out of Memory & shut down.

Firmware Version VIV-84300-Ver20, updated date: 8/04/2009 upgrade was in there when I bought it.

So I don't know what's wrong.

Be more clear ...what is the relation you want to do ....from what I understood...you have a vivitar camera...( web or digital shooting pics??)
what about the disc?? is a memory stick you want to use?? or a sd memo inside the cam ...
the problem must be from the camera than ...cause you do not have to set any of the settings you done ...
you just make your pictures and when you want to download into the pc ...just plug it in ...and the pc will recognize the memory card ..as a removable storage device....
or if you have the drivers from camera ...install them and the programs from the disc and the choices will be multiple ..
I know i didnt been clear enough ...and you can also ask me more on yahoo at catalin_yo_vlad
Good luck !

How do I down load photo's from my Samsung 2 phone please

First make sure you have the correct USB drivers for your phone installed on your pc. Go to device manager and see if your phone or mass storage device is listed. If not, download the drivers here, http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads. Make sure debugging on your phone is enabled. Please refer to the following:

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > Applications > Development" and enable "USB debugging".

  2. Then drag the status bar down and tap on "USB connected".

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap "OK". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.

Make sure camera is turned on and you set it to mass storage device.
Usb cable may be faulty try/borrow another one.
Try another device with that usb cable. Your usb on pc may be faulty or you need to update drivers.

MY SAMSUNG SGH-D780 CAN'T BE CONNECTED TO MY PC AS THE MASS STORAGE MODE IN USB SETTINGS OF THE PHONE MENU IS DISABLED

If the USB mode is not activated then you must have already connected the USB cable to the PC. Disconnect it and then go in to your phone PC connection settings and enable the "USB Mass strorage mode" - sace. Then connect the USB cable. It will work.

I have been told i need a pc suite viewty so i can download my pics and vids onto my pc, how do i do this and where do i go.

you dont need the pc suite to access your MicroSD card only the usb drivers found here.

http://www.pspmyspace.com/files/LGUSBModemDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver_4.7.zip

you can then set your phone to Mass Storage by following these steps.

Settings/Phone Settings/Connectivity/USB Connection Mode/Data Service.

If you dont have a MicroSd card then you can download PC Suite here.

How can i download pictures on my SGH-G800 to my computer?

The quickest way to do this is to put your phone into Mass Storage Mode then connect it via the USB cable to your computer. Your phone shows up as a USB Mass Storage Device and you can select the folders you want to download your pictures from.

To set your phone to Mass Storage Mode, do the following:

- Go to the main menu
- Select Settings
- Then Select Phone Settings
- Choose PC Connections from the menu
- And then click on Mass Storage.

When you connect the USB cable to your computer, your phone will show up as a USB Storage device and you can just copy and past files to it like you would a USB Thumb drive. If you select the Samsung PC Studio option...your file transfers will take ALL DAY. Just use Mass Storage mode. Good luck.

Need driver for PRAKTICA DC Slim 315

Sounds like you have set it to PC Cam mode. If you put it in Mass Storage mode, you don't need a driver to use it.

To put it in Mass Storage mode: Hold the Mode button while it's turned on. Select the 3rd option that appears (looks like a Swiss army knife) by pressing the button to take a photo.

Scroll down and change USB Mode to Mass Storage.
