Missing WinXP{ I was trying to set the computer up to dual boot with Linux. Linux works fine; WinXP has disappeared without a trace. Is it possible to get a USB memory stick with the software or download the software package for the machine?

Looking for drivers to use this monitor with Fedora 20 Linux OS

You don't need drivers. You need to adjust the resolution and refresh rate. If you plug in an old CRT monitor then Linux will probably boot and you can edit the conf file to change the settings. Most LCD monitors require 50-60Hz refresh rate.

My Acer Aspire 6530g stopped working after I tried to install Linux. The computer went off without any error message during the installation, and now when I try to boot it, it won't even go to the BIOS....

The installation of Linux cannot affect the BIOS of your computer.
Did you install Linux on the Hard drive or did you just run a DEMO from a LiveCD?
If you used the Demo it will disappear from your computer once you turn ii off. If you did install Linux on the hard drive, it will take the whole space of the disk and you won't have any Windows OS. When it boots it boots the Linux Image. Regardless you will be prompted to select the OS you want to boot. If you do not select one of the option it will boot the first in the list.

Dual boot Linux/Windows7 working fine then suddenly can't boot into windows. Message is "BootMgr bad or missing". Restarrting and pressing f8 to get into advanced boot menu doesn't work, brings me back to...

Use the repair tool on your windows 7 disk, this will get windows back up, but may kill grub, check out EasyBCD from neosmart.com to easily manage your boot options from within windows.

I need to setup a dual boot computer. I have 2 hard drives each has an os I need the option to select at startup

Try Install KDE on your desktop, I think its much better than gnome for booting setup. There's another way which one you'd like to booth by striking the F8 key repeatedly on the restart or starting your PC and select the drive which drive you like to boot.Or you can configure it on your bios setup by hitting the del key and configure your boot priority.

USB mouse won't work under XP in a dual boot Ubuntu GRUB 1.5

It has the latest mouse driver (logitech setpoint 4.0). Before installing Ubuntu the setup worked w/ SUSE/XP using GRUB dual boot. After installing Ubuntu XP does not see the usb mouse. Even Logitech setpoint does not have the mouse setup/configuration option. It appears that at boot it does not recognize the mouse or disables it. The BIOS has the usb keyboard and mouse enabled. Currently, I have two mices one for xp and either mouse will work under Ubuntu.

Where is Linux mbr file

There's nothing like the Linux MBR File. The option to boot to multiple operating systems is controlled by a software called as the "Boot-Loader".
Windows XP and Linux both have their versions of boot-loaders. The Bootloader that Windows XP uses is called the NTLDR, whereas Linux provides many bootloaders (prominent among them being "Grub" and "LILO").

>but Linux is shown in the manage option from the My Computer in Win XP 2.....
That is the control section of NTLDR. So from what I understand you shouldn't have a problem selecting the operating systems.

If you want the Linux bootloader taking control of the boot process, you can always install it.
All you need is a Linux CD and then run the setup for "Grub" or "LILO".

Information about installing Grub or LILO can be found easily on the internet.
