Sorry, I was posting for question and I accidentally sent it to you.

As for your issue, there is a wire that need to be hooked up to a constant +12 volt source when the vehicle is off. This will retain your settings.

According to the Owners manual it is a Yellow Wire.

    The manual is here if you need it;

    Best of Luck.

How do I adjust the treble and bass on sony str-dh520?

See EQ Mode on page 59 of the owners manual to set the bass and treble for the front speakers, presumably for 2 channel mode. For multi-channel mode there are several pre-programmed audio modes listed starting on page 43 and music mode starting on page 44.

What are the frequencies that the bass and treble controls on a Yamaha AX-396 amplifier control? I recorded alot of music direct from the amp to my pc with the bass and treble controls at max and need to...

The bass and treble controls (as well as volume) have no effect on the recorded output if you're using the traditional jacks a tape deck would use. Only PRE-OUTS get massaged by sound controls.

Even if you DID affect the recorded signals, WHY are you using such exaggerated settings? Or was it by mistake?

In theory, passing the modified output back through the same controls (set to Minimum this time) would undo most of the unwanted effect. Assuming their precise and mirror image for gain and loss.

What are the best settings for bass , treble and mid in order to get the best sound

There are no hard and fast rules for setting Bass, Midrange and Treble on your radio. Depending on the type of music you are listening to with your radio, it can / will determine your sound settings. To attempt to set the sound settings on your radio, select the sound settings and set all of them to 0. ( Bass, mid, treble ), then start playing your usual music. With the music playing move the treble setting in single incriments 1,2,3,4 and so. A comfortable setting is usually a 5 out of a total number of 6. Then move over to Midrange and repeat process. A 4-5 out of 6 is usually comfortable. Finally comes the Bass. You do not want to overpower your speakers with too much bass as this will damage them over time. Repeat the usual process and listen carfully for any baffling or distortion as you move through the numbers. A comfortable bass setting is usually 2-4 out of 6. Again I must stress that there is no hard and fast rule for settings. It boils down to the type of music, and what your ears tells you sounds good. What sounds good to me might not be enough for you, or vice versa. I hope this helps! Cheers!

What are good settings to have to make the music sound clear for a jvc KD-R310 deck?

you will need to access the bass and treble setting on the unit.
If you have stnadard speaker then dont put the bass to high as you can not turn the volume up high.
The same for the treble.
Set them at about the same and turn the volume up until it sounds good.
If it is to quiet then turn the treble and bass down and then the volume up more

My cda-9887 does not have a bass/treble setting. Only fade/balance

In the initial stage of the set up your 9887 the stereo is set with an Equalizer (parametric or graphic), Until you use the Imprint set up module to Tune your car you wont get bass / treble controls. Also after Tuning with Imprint you will lose the EQ function, and it will only be B/T.

Low treble

I suspect that the speaker levels need to be set. You connected everything right - many people would not have connected the sats via the bass section (which has their high pass crossover and overload protection). But I am betting the HSU is turned up a bit on the high side.

Try this. Set all speakers to small, set all levels to 0. Play the receiver in stereo all mode. If the bass is strong, you need to turn the HSU down closer to a natural sound. Then use the speaker setup tone and adjust as needed.

NO memory in kenwood kdc-mp205

check your wiring in your vehicle to make sure that the yellow wire from the stereo gets "constant" power. It it what keeps your stereo's memory, and powers the audio amp in the stereo. If this wire is loosing power when you shut the key off in your car, you will loose all of your settings...bass, treble, tuner, clock, and also where you left off on your CD.
