If your memory is acting up, you can search for RAM testing programs that just go through several loops of testing the RAM. They will identify when a bad RAM module fails the test.

Normally, when we suspect RAM to be an issue, we usually replace it and take advantage and increase the size of the RAM at the same time. This way we replace the RAM in question and also maximize the memory resource.

Good luck

Greetings my friend, regarding on your problem you will notice that if your computer/Laptop need to have additional RAM when your computer runs a program large enough to consume your RAM. You can add RAM anytime if you want to make your computer runs/loads program faster. RAM is used as a temporary storage of your running program or software so therefore if you have a large size of RAM then you can load large and lots of programs in your computer/Laptop with out experiencing log or slow in executing some of your request programs or applications. Also if your current RAM is not functioning well just like it is always restart your computer or dumping some programs and continues beep sound of your System Unit when you restart your Computer then that's the time you need to have a new RAM for your Computer/Laptop.

Remove meomry & up gread

First you have to find out how big your RAM is, not in terms of capacity, but in terms of how many pin. Once you know how many pins your RAM is you can purchase new RAM from many places online or locally. Before I go any further, I have to know if your PC is a Computer or Notebook.

If its a computer, you will have to take off the casing to expose the internals of the tower. That is where you will see your RAM ports. Usually there will be 2-4 places for RAM to be placed. There will normally be a fulcrum that will need to be pushed or pulled on both sides of the RAM (long ways), once you pull/push those down you can safely remove the RAM. You can tell because it will pop out a little bit to let you know its coming out. Pull them out, and then simply push the new RAM in its place, you should get a POP sound when its in place and the fulcrums/levers should adjust back to the way they were previously with the old RAM by themselves. After thats said and done put your tower back together, and turn the computer on. Please make sure that your motherboard is capable of handling the new capacity RAM you have purchased first though. Also make sure computer is off when you do this.

Replace the defective RAM.
Video card that is built-in on the motherboard uses shared RAM, it uses part of the main RAM.

How do I activate new ram?

There is no need to activate Ram. You need to make sure that you purchase the right kind of RAM for example you need to know if your motherboard is compatible with DDR or SD. Then you need to know it can hold up to how many GB.

Once you insert the ram in to the Slot and reboot the PC it will automatically detect.

use the link below to find which RAM your are using.

How do i install a memory ram on my computer acer 5050

I don't know your model laptop, but most laptops have one or two memory slots on the bottom of the laptop behind a panel. Remove the panel to reveal the RAM slot/s.
When installing RAM, say 1Gb when there is two 256Mb RAM modules, then you need to replace the existing RAM with two 512Mb RAM modules. Make sure the new RAM is the same speed as the original RAM or faster RAM.

I have intel pentium 3 with 128 ram. how can i increase ram memor

To upgrade your RAM you would need to know what type of RAM your motherboard supports. Once you have this info you can then check online who sells the RAM modules. Once you make your purchase you then can remove the old modules, replace with the new modules & reboot. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Pentium 4 comptability with SD Ram

If you know what mother board you have you could check what RAM it can use.

All RAM is installed in the same way, but different types of RAM are keyed differently. That basically means that one type of RAM (for example SD RAM) will simply not fit into another type of RAM slot (for example a DDR RAM slot).

To install ram on a PC
Please note - do NOT touch the connector side of the RAM, handle it only by holding the side or top edge
1. check that you have the right type of RAM. do this by lining up the RAM above the RAM slot and making sure that the RAM is the same length as the RAM slot AND ALSO that the RAM's key (the little hole or notch in the RAM) lines up with the key in the RAM slot. Note there might be more than one key
2. open both clips of the RAM slot by pushing them down and out from the center of the RAM slot
3. gently insert the RAM into the RAM slot
4. check again that the RAM and the RAM slot's key's line up, if they do, firmly press down on the RAM on both corners until both clips automatically click shut on the RAM

That's it! :-)
