Question about Kenwood KDC-135 CD Player
I keep losing all the pre-sets on my cd player evry time I turn off the engine!! Someone please help!!
There is a YELLOW wire that needs to be connected to a constant + 12 volt source when the vehicle is off.

You need a constant 12v current to the radio unit. Unfortunately, sometimes the yellow wire does not carry the constant current even if it should.
You need to take the unit out and, preferably, use a multimeter to confirm the current is absent. In my case it was, so I disconnected the snap connection on the yellow wire and connected it to the spare red socket which is easily identified, and was the one carrying the constant current.
However, it means that you need to make sure you switch the unit off before you leave the vehicle since the radio will eventually drain the battery if left on over a prolonged time. In my case I always remove the front anyway, so that solves the problem.
