Question about HP Compaq Presario C306US Notebook
I have a three-year-old Compaq Presario C306US notebook. I do not connect it to the Internet or use other people's software or discs. I operate it plugged in virtually all the time. Recently I operated it on battery for two or three days. I've used it since plugged in, but the screen was dimmer than usual. Tonight I was using it plugged in, when it died out. I can't get it to boot up again. A yellow light to the left under the keyboard blinks, and it then shuts down. The plug area isn't even getting warm. Can you tell me what is going on, and what I can do about it? Do I need to replace the battery?
Greetings my friend, regarding on your problem try to remove your battery then clean it and after you clean insert it back. then used the power connector and insert it in the DC plug and wait for 5 - 10 mins before you turn on your laptop. In that way the battery is already charging then try also to touch the battery of the laptop if it is charging or not by touching the battery and when it warms meaning it charge otherwise it is not charging. Then if your findings are true that your battery are not charging then try to test it with tester so that you check the status of your battery.
