Yes, check the cable as your tv's tuner does not receiving signal. The BLUE SCREEN on most of this brand means you have no signal from an outdoor signal or so. Thanks for using Fixya.

Dish network Blue screen No "Signal

Hi john harrison!

A blue screen with "No Signal" is usually related to a video problem. The TV may be getting changed off the correct input/channel, or the video cable might be going bad.

If you have a spare, I would recommend a different cable and seeing if that fixes the problem. If it continues, verify the input/channel your TV is on when it receives a picture and if it goes out try putting it back on that input/channel.

If problems still continue I would be happy to review additional options with you. You can reach me here or at [email protected]

The problem is most likely a warped plastic housing around the color wheel. When the wheel is forced to stop, the projector will go to standby and the lights indicate a problem.

Recently when I boot up my computer I get the monitor to display an image for about 2 seconds and then it goes to a black screen. if I unplug the monitor from the back of the computer and plug it back in,...

The capacitors for the power source are failing. This causes a short burst of power to get to the lamps, but then they cannot hold a charge to continuously power the lamps. You will have to replace the monitor. I suggest checking your warranty status and replacing the monitor.

What does it mean when the picture goes blue? the picture turns blue while we watching it

Typically it is an indication that the blue CRT is failing. If screen turned red, then the red CRT would be failing, etc..

Sometimes you might see the screen flash blue and then go solid blue, then shutdown.

You need an experienced repair person to fix it. It can be expensive.

Turn on goes blue then turns off

The most common reason for a TV to display a blue screen with no picture is because the source device has not been set to the proper mode.

If you are using a cable or satellite set-top box, ensure that it is turned on and set to an active station. If the set-top box is connected to the television using a coaxial cable, then the television should be set to Channel 3 or 4 to receive the signal.

If you have are using a VCR that is turned on, but not playing a tape and not tuned to a receivable channel, then a blue screen will be displayed on the TV. To resolve this, turn off the VCR or tune it to a receivable channel. If a cable or satellite set-top box is connected to the VCR using a coaxial cable, then the VCR should normally be set to Channel 3 or 4 to receive the signal.

If the blue screen is not because of a connected VCR or set-top box, the TV may require service.

Dvr stuck on ''receiving satellite info'' when reset.

When it's rebooting, on the first blue screen press 02468 on the remote. This will force a software update. If you have trouble getting it enter at the right time or you just want to make sure, just keep pressing 02468 until it goes to the update. It won't hurt any thing. Hope this helps.

Try selecting a different input, or checking the device which you are receiving the signal from. A blue screen typically indicates that there is no signal.
