Need parts for Bissell Power Steamer Model 1695

Went to a local repair shop & was told that I may as well trash this model because no parts were available. Of course, I have to research things for myself & to try to keep from buying a new power steamer. Called Bissell Customer Service. CSR told me that the model was discontinued, none of the parts that I need are available & referred me to five authorized KY dealers (all of which are an hour or more driving time away). I am going to call all of them tomorrow & hope I can find a solution to one broken pivot arm that holds rotating brush roll.
I found a helpful website that has a schematic and lists all parts that are available to order (& unavailable). There is also one service note regarding the parts that I need that says the entire base assembly with brush motor must be replaced because of a design change. Of course, it's not available either. Hope this helps some.

SOURCE: brushes not turning on 8920 2x Bissell

Brushes are switched on by lowering the handle which activates a micro-switch located inside the lower part of the machine. Vacuum must be running as well. The DC power for the brush motor comes from a Bridge rectifier located on the PC board located in the handle. I have drawings that might help you.

SOURCE: Steamer filler cap is sealed

You need a little more leverage--either a strap type tool or a pair of adjustable width pliers that span the width of the cap. Try running hot water over the cap first which may loosen it enough to remove by hand.

SOURCE: Bissell Power Steamer Pro Deluxe will not move forward

tip unit back to lift brushes off floor and roll forward until over carpet edge. tip back unit to sit flush on carpet and unlock handle so it swings freely. now pull backwards ith finger on spray trigger. that's how it works, not by pushing forwad.

How many filters does a Bissell model 14916 vacuum cleaner have?

Your model number does Is not listed when I do a search to find parts schematics. I'm guessing your model was bought at a large retail store which has specific models made for them only which makes it very difficult for the vacuum repair industry to determine the proper parts needed to service your particular model. If you take your vacuum to your local vacuum repair shop they may be able to inspect it and answer your question.

Good Afternoon, Itpaint53:

It happens, when the seals start to go, because some cleaners will eat through or stiffen the gasket beyond use. You will find a replacement parts (7 is the cap insert and 8 is the gasket) here:
