Lost all power to electrical on 1995 gmc jim - Cars & Trucks

Google the
wiring diagram 1995 gmc sierra electric windows I found several systems offering what you require.
But what is the problem, 99% of the time in that year the window regulator was at fault, it was made from a stapped steel housing verses an cast unit. We check the left switch for power, disconnect the two wire connector at the motor, and see if the motor has power to one side or the other in the connector. If the switch has power to it, and the motor has power to it as you press the button, the motor is at fault.

Check all the ground straps on the engine block...It sounds like you lost electric power to devices.

Hi Jim, If the vehicle is fitted with climate control it will have electronic management. However it can be wired by someone knowing electrical circuitry to by pass the control. It will save you some cash but will need manual control. Make sure whoever does the job knows what he or she is doing. Have a happy new year. Regards John

Look at the main power supply battery junction block . Fusible link's . Firewall driver side . These power up the whole vehicle . Do you have a voltmeter ,do you know how to use one to test B+ voltage ? Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make ,model and engine size . Under system click on electrical distribution ,under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button ,then the blue link's . Look at the diagrams ,get out the voltmeter an test for B+ voltage where it's suppose to be.

I had a similar problem in my jeep . it drove me nuts until I figured out it was the ignition switch. Not the ignition lock where you put the key but the ignition switch. Not sure about your jimmy, but it should be on top of the steering column under the dash.

the H.E.I distributors have a problem with the modules blowing . check you have power in the main power wire to the dist with key on if there is then my guess the module blew / pop the cap off the dist ,remove the rotor , you'll see a half moon looking flat electric box with 2 wires going in ea side change that part and try it there's also a pickup coil /if you can make sure no wires are broken on the pickup coil or change it .hope that helps . sounds like you lost spark and that would be my first guess / the module went :)

the flasher is right below the radio,under the dash .it take 3or4 screws to take off panel.both flashers are under there.one for your 4 ways,and one for your turn signal.if your four ways work you can fill the flasher to determin which is witch. mine the four ways was on the left,turn signal on the right.they are not in the back of glove box.ther is apanel there with three relays but not for your turn signal.thank u gm jim.u helped me find them.

near the battery you will find a box with fuse links in, one of them
will have blown, you can bridge it temporary with a piece of wire until you get the new one from your local dealers.hope this helps

Your fuel filter could be getting too dirty and cloging up the fuel flow. Good luck and hope this can help you

Sound like the TBI is flaking out. Get TPS checked and any other electrical part on TBI checked.
