Out of range thermistor can cause the tripping of indoor or outdoor unit. Try to check the resistance of your thermistor it should be 8 to 10 kilo ohms at 25 deg. c temp.

I have a trailer with a duo therm ac..the outside fan is coming on but nothing is blowing thru the registars

Not sure where your located, so check that unit didn't freeze up on you. Make sure evaporator and condenser coils/fins are clean and run on fan only to aid in thawing them out. Once you see condensation running off roof good, try using cool again and see what happens. When they freeze up, airflow gets restricted through unit. The outside fan and blower wheel for forced air inside are attached to same motor, so if fan is working, blower wheel should be turning as well unless it is broken, or allen key has come loose on clamp around center of blower wheel. Other possibility is that the blower wheel is turning but forced air ducts have blockage at inlet, which will require letting ceiling assembly down to inspect, or removing cover on roof and screws at front evaporator and opening it up. Make sure power is off during inspection.

A/C runs but Fan does not shut off when compressor stops. Raising thermostat shuts unit off. fan auto/ on switch works normal. what are possible solutions?

First of all, remove filter at ceiling and with a flashlight or other source, when Compressor shuts off, look way up inside where evaporator coils are and see if you can see ice, or frost on coils/fins. It may be freezing up and fan will continue to run to aid in defrosting.

When turn on three eighth pipe freezes up air con does not blow cold air split system i also noticed the compressor is very hot even after the unit has been switched off.

This could be the result of a dirty filter, or in the case of no filter installed, dirty evaporator / condenser coils. The unit may also be low on refrigerant due to a leak and will need to be located and repaired before recharging. Refrigerants are very dangerous to work with and can cause environmental problems if allowed to escape. Call a professional to diagnose and fix this problem if the other suggestions do not work.

Shut the unit off, allow to cool / thaw completely. Replace filter(s) and restart. If the unit was run without a filter, the evaporator coil fins are probably clogged with dust & dirt. This will have to be removed for the unit to work as designed again. Try hosing the fins down to remove the large particles and then purchase a foaming spray-on cleaner for air conditioners (available at most big-box hardware stores like Lowes, Home Depot, etc.). Cleaning both the evaporator and condenser coils is highly recommended. Use as directed and try again.

Good luck!

Formation of ice on evaporator element

hi! there,
eventually ice freezing evaporator occured two factor you have
dirty fin evaporator and undercharge system.
1. undercharge can easily detected using clamp
ammeter clamp on one line of evaporator while running
read the amper the compare this to yuor service
manual the rated current of the compressor.

2.if the reading current is below the rared current on
manual or there is tag on the body of unit specified
rated current.your unit need to recharge.

if has the same current no change at all freon is still
good, this only need cleaning of eveporator fin.

clean this by pressurise water to purge out all debris
particle on fin tube of evaporator.

cracking sound usally made by blwer or fan
misalignement or distorted bearing blower .

regards have anice day dont forget to rate me.

Samsung AW1003M Air Conditioner how to clean Fan inside??

hello! there well, there are two fan coupled together on a/c the condenser fan and blower fan,if this is split type the fan and blower are separated.the procedure is the same way.doing this release lock off and take off front cover then pull out ac unit assembly, after pull out, open terminal control box disconnected all wiring connected on compressor motor and fan motor, loosen all stud bolt on compressor blower fan case.this well exposed fan and blower w/ the motor.cover the motor of plastic sheet then, pressurize water wiil use to clean blower fan observed the motor not to wet by water if this wet don't try to run let it dry off or else this wii burn out so take all necessary precaution, beside mosly cleaning procedure includes the fin tube of condenser and evaporator there are foriegn particles and moisture emerged in evaporator mostly that why insufficient cooling effect on condenser heat rejection also affected if dirty fin tube emerged,.theres is lye detergent use and mix to water pour this to evaporator and condenser fin tube wait for 15 to 30 min soaking to rinse dirt will come out to fin.observed not to distorted fin of tube on eveaporator and condenser.,then pressurise this by water again if cleaning was done dry it off until all dirt disappear.if finishe put back all casing of compressor, evaporator and condenser, then connect all electrical control connection on circuit board, double check connection just put back what ever disconnected parts dont try to alter specially electrical control connection on circuit board.this is a hard task and risky if yout not qualified to handle this job bring it or call a service technician.have a nice and cool day regards and thank's.

Amana heat/air conditioning pump

You are going to have to increase the amount of heat absorbed by the evaporator coil on the indoor section of your system. First change the filter. Second turn the power off to the outdoor section and leave the indoor fan running until all the ice on the evaporator coil has thawed this could take a few hours. Third you need to verify that you are getting adequate airflow across the indoor evaporator coil and the outdoor condenser coil both fans should be spinning at full speed and airflow should be unobstructed by dirty coil fins or debris Hopefully after you've done this you will have cold air blowing inside and the larger of the two lines entering the unit outside will be cool to the touch but not frozen or even frosted regardless of run time and the small one should be the slightly warm but not hot. If the larger line continues to freeze then it could indicate a number of problems but essentially your condensers cooling capacity is outrunning your evaporator coils ability to absorb heat from air stream circulating in your home.Hope it works out for you GL!
