Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Mac Laptop cannot access internet via the Engenius EAP350 wireless AP

Jason,

What does the logs say over EAP350, are the cards on Macs properly getting associated with EAP350? What happens if you put static IP?
Also check for the latest firmware for EAP350 which addresses this issue.

Wired internet connection not working

you must reset the router by 30 seconds and try again. Remember they have a password for wep key for access. do you do it?when you installed the router the software is you want the connection close or open?
However you must click in open network connection , and select network troubleshooter and fix it.
If the problem remain, you must go to router supplier manufacturer via ONLINE chat, and explain the problem.
or reinstall the Router again follow the steps with your disk instalation.
God bless you

Hi, i just purcchased a wireless internet mod. from sprint, i have a willess for my xbox already, i got the internet up and running, but when i went to connect the wireless to pc so i could join xbox live...

Hello,

I apologize but your description is a little confusing. You state you are trying to connect the xbox to the wireless connection through your PC?

If you are trying to connect your xbox to the internet through your wireless router but it ask for a WPA key, you will need to enter this key in order to gain internet access. If you do not know they key, you will need to access your router configuration page, log in and reset or generate the key.

You can do this by following the steps below.
Open up your internet browser on your PC and go to your gateway IP address. This will usually be 192.168.1.1. A log in window should come up and you will need to log in. Once you log in, there should be a section for wireless internet settings/security. You will be able to add the pass key or reset it.

If this is not your wireless internet connection(this is a neighbors internet) then they will have to give you the pass key.

My acer aspire one wont connect to internet. it says it is connected to wireless, and i have wired it to modem but the problem still persists. please help.

Based on your description, the following is assumed.
1. The service to your Internet Service Provider is through a cable or DSL modem.
2. Internet service was initially set-up with your netbook directly connected to the modem.
3. A wireless router was since added and is using the direct wired connection to the modem.
4. The netbook is connected to the wireless access point being provided by the router.
5. The netbook says it is connected to the wireless access point but still no internet access.
The problem is likely due to the modem capturing the MAC address of the netbook when access to the internet servce was initially set up using the netbook directly connected to the modem and now the modem will only allow access with the netbook directly connected to it. You can check this out by reconnecting the netbook directly to the modem. It may be possible to "flush" the captured MAC by unplugging the AC power to the modem, waiting a few minutes and then powering back up with the router connected in place of the netbook. To make it easier, you may want connect your netbook directly to the router's LAN side to check if you now have internet access through the router. If you still don't have internet access, you will need to use your netbook to log onto the router to clone your netbook's MAC address for the router's WAN connection. The router's user guide/manual has directions on logging in and doing the MAC address clone. It will also have an explanation as to what is a MAC address.

Have you got permission to connect into her Internet using her wireless router?
If so you need to get the WPA encryption key from her to configure your wireless card's encryption to get access.

Cannot get onto internet

disable the firewall on control panel.
check all the properties boxes on the network
connections and make sure firewall is disabled.

access the router setup and make sure that VCI is set to manual
and that you enter in the settings yourself (eg: 0,38 for aol broadband). Don't leave VCI, etc on auto, the router can't handle it.

Edimax IEEE 802.11g 54Mbps won't stay connected to the internet.

your firewall may be attempting to keep out an intruder and inadvertently killing your connection to aid in the process, if you're using a shared Wireless Access Point or WAP there may be a conflict which is causing the problem whenever someone else logs onto the wireless access point. is this an access point that is close to you (in the same room or building) or is it an access point that you share with a group of people that is coming in from outside your immediate area? because if it is either the second scenario it may be weak signal strength in which case you'll be able to tell simply by getting closer to the access point and see if you lose your signal, if you don't lose your signal after getting closer to the access point you'll know it's the signal strength and you may need to get a stronger wireless card or see about extending the range on the one you have.

let me know

looks like the new laptop has been assigned the same ip address as your old latop so it wont allow u access...renew the ip address, assign ur old lap top a new one or just reboot the router so it will issue u with a new ip address.
