Question about H.D. Hudson Hudson Trombone Sprayer - 140 Psi

Need help with Hudson Trombone Tree and Shrub Sprayer Model 61224

My mom purchased this less than a year ago. When she was trying to spray her trees recently, the water wouldn't come out. The water was stuck down in the tube so she unscrewed the nut on the trombone sprayer and let the water out, then it was working fine for a few minutes.
Then it stopped spraying again and the same thing happened only this time when she unscrewed the nut to let the water out, a bearing came out too. We need help. Is the bearing supposed to be loose in the metal tube or was it secured inside somewhere?? Can you give me instructions as to how this goes back together and what could be causing the problem with the water staying in the tube??

She has hardly even used this and now it's not working at all.
Please help!
Thanks
Kathy

There's a parts illustration on the Hudson web site that may be helpful to put the sprayer back together correctly. Here's the link: http://www.hdhudson.com/PDF_files/10.pdf

Can u tell me what carob chips are ?

Carob chips are made from the pod of the carob tree, a small Mediterranean shrub. The pods are dried, roasted, and ground into carob powder before being made into chips or used in other applications.

Carob is less bitter than chocolate and has a natural sweetness. The chips require little or no added sugar to make them palatable.

Why is my pine tree turning brown?

Pines loose up to 20% of their needles naturally every year so you can expect some browning and needle drop. Tip moths and various beetles will gird twigs killing them as well.

Looking to replace triger (leaks)

NorthStar brand equipment comes from Northern Tool. You can't replace the trigger, but they sell the replacement spray wand here and it's only $11.99. There are other wands, some longer, etc. They are pretty universal -- you just slide them onto the hose and tighten the band clamp. Good luck! If this is helpful, please rate my answer, thanks!

I have the hudson eliminator sprayer and squeeze the trigger I just get one burst of spray and then a couple of drips. I do have it pumped up all the way. What is the problem?

IF your sprayer is full you should be good to go after 20 or so full stroke pumps

If it is not spraying unscrew the adjustable tip and clean out the little holes around the end

If you leave spray in the unit after using it it will get crudded up and plug up

I have a ortho tree & shrub spray-ette hose end sprayer. The instructions say to add product and fill to gallon mark, then attach to hose and turn on water and spray. It isn't plugged the water comes...

sound like the inside suction hose is loose or not fitting correctly. i had a similar problem and wrapped some duct tape around the tube then snugly fit it inside the cap. no outside air suction and it works fine. i've had mine going on 15 years and use it constantly.

Instructions for using ortho tree sprayette

The Ortho Tree and Shrub Sprayette has a fixed mixing jet set to a 24:1 ratio. 5.3 ounces of spray concentrate in the jar will mix to produce 1 gallon of diluted spray. The jar has a capacity of 42.7 ounces, so you can spray up to 8 gallons with 1 filling. If you look at the side of the jar, you will see two filling scales. On the left is the diluted spray capacity, and on the right is the concentrate scale. So you will see 8 gallons opposite 32 ounces, for instance.

You must dilute concentrates to the 24:1 mixing concentration. So if your concentrate says 1 ounce/gallon, and you want to spray 6 gallons, put in 6 ounces and add water to the jar to the 32 ounce level.
