Question about JVC KD-G110 CD Player
I have recently tried to change the stock radio in my tahoe to a jvc cd player. when i pulled out the old stock unit that didnt work i noticed that the stock connector was gone. so i wired the the new connector to the old wires. i got the factory wiring diagram from a gm dealer. my problem is that when i was done the cd player worked for about a minute then it quit. i have power to the unit and it lites up but no sound comes out of the speakers.
Re check your wires and make sure none a crossed, if you are using black tape make sure the wires are not poking threw the black tape and touching

Exactly a minute after you turned it on it went out, did it go out with like a bang or spark, seriously, this would indicate that the wiring wasn't correct somehow, i know u checked the fuse for the correct ampperage required and the most important question do you have an amp because most aftermarket head units aren't wired for 6 speakers, unlike oem Bose unit which has a built in amp and 6 wires output, you should have rca jacks which requires a amp for the additional output speakers. I could be wrong regrding how many output available on your new head unit.
