Question about Samsung S630 Digital Camera
PC does not recognize samsung S630 when connected. I have reloaded drivers with no change and tried a new USB cable. Other devices work on these ports as well.
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

As far as I know, you don't have it in the Samsung web site. Contact Samsung and ask them were could you get the drivers for your camera. Enclosed you have the link for it http://www.samsungcamerausa.com/support/contactus.asp Good luck and let us know with your results.

Down load a software program that will bring the computer to recognize the camera.Or...go to control panel and click the scanners & cameras icon. Now look to the left side of screen and open select imaging device.Follow the prompts from there. Please Rate this ! Thanx!!!!!

Along the side of my "USB" cable it reads........
E174089 (UL) CM 75C 28AWG/2C+28AWG/2C SHIELDED USB V2.O LONGWELL-P
(The 75C above actually looked like it read seventy five DEGREES celcius)
But there was no "DEGREES" symbol on my keyboard and i din not want you to think
that i typed the letter O or the number zero.

Have you tried another USB port? Sometimes, they can act goofy.
Also be sure your anti-virus isn't blocking any part of the installation.
Here is a link to the Samsung troubleshooting guide for your camera.
You can probably download the most recent driver from that website as well.
Perhaps they have a better or newer version than what came prepackaged
with the camera (just because a camera is a new purchase does not mean
the software it came with is the most updated).
I run WinXP home edition, so I am not familiar if there are any differences in the professional version regarding software installation....

First, I need to ask the dumb questions:
1. Are both computers running XP?
2. When you connect the camera, do you turn the camera on?
3. Do other USB devices work when connected to the same
USB PORTS you are using to connect the camera?
Ok, since the camera is not recognized at all on both computers, we can pretty much disregard USB PORT failure, but just in case, try different USB PORTS on both, please.
Most if not all cameras should be recognized as mass storage devices just by connecting them to USB PORT on computer, and should be visible as a new drive in MY COMPUTER icon.
Maybe your bundled USB CABLE is not working, or this is one camera that insists on using the bunbled software package that came with the camera.
Last thing to try is to buy a multi-card reader/writer and put the memory card in there. That has to work!
Hope that helps.
