when does it do it ??? Only when you are driving the mower ??? if its a rear drive mower I would suspect the axle/trans/drive wheels are making the noise.

Craftsman 56" lawn tractor auto trans dose not drive forward or revers. tryed purging trans no go checked engagment rod ok, belt seems good. I can push the mower by hand as if the trans were not connected...

somehow did the little freewheel lever get pulled in the rear of the tractor to disengage transmission?..usually out is disengage and in is engaged. look around the back panel behind the rear axle for a small lever you can pull or push in.

Craftsman riding mower model 917-273223 automatic trans, when I put it in gear fwd or rev it does nothing

first check and see if transport lever is not pulled up knob by seat this disconnects gear so it can be pushed around also check cable sometimes breaks --check drive belt and last trans pulley has a tendency to loosen and pop --easiest way to look at all above is to remove the back plate only 4 bolts

1991 f350 , 460 ci , automatic wont go into overdrive when the tranny gets warm

ok chech the water hosed in the radiator (both) because if the trans oil is over heat the trans got problems. The trans oil runs trough the radiator.

Craftsman 21hp, 48" lawn tractor, electric start, automatic trans

The alternator is built into the starter. Check with a volt meter to see if you have at least +13v while mower engine is running. Could be a bad battery.

My deck is way too low. How do I adjust it?

Your mower should have a lever on it that you move to raise or lower your deck. The lever will normally have the slots that it locks into numbered like the trans gears if yours is not automatic.

Craftsman mower shuts off when gets hot

Could has than one reason caused this problem.

Have you ever remove the plug to verify the bobin still delivery a good spark right after the unit shut-off? The aging bobin could loose a high voltage section [short out] when the temperture rose.
