Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

1 Answer

I have to hold the filter when making coffee - if I don't the filter holder starts to unwind and then coffee and water spurts everywhere. It has only just started this and I clean it constantly making sure that both the filter sieve and also wipe the underside of the filter connection to the machine. The coffee when it comes out is now starting to dribble out instead of flowing slowly out. Its getting a bit of a bind to make a cup of coffee these days and I'm hoping you can come up with a reason why its reacting this way. The on/off switch is steady and not blinking - as your instructions say it is due for de-scaling.

Please check the following:

1. Hooks - the hooks could be worn
2. Gasket - it could be worn or broken.

You need to replace the filter holder or the rubber seal/gasket.

Hope it helps and have a great day!

Bloomfield coffee maker overflows, even with plain filter

The outlet of the cone filter holder is clogged. Normally its just a hole you can clean out but some units have a valve that is pushed up/open by your coffee pot. That valve may be clogged or if you changed the coffee pot it may not be opening due to the different pot. Clean valve or just remove it so the coffee will run into coffee pot.

Why the water not going up to the pump?

Plz try the following steps if not satisfied plz revert:

  1. Make sure the water reservoir is full and properly fitted into its position.
  2. The grounds should not be over-packed into the filter.
  3. Make sure the filter holder fits properly into the holding ring.
  4. You may need to clean the filter basket and the brew head

When I try to use My K-CUP reusible coffee filter, coffee and grounds go everywhere. I have asked previously and have had no luck. I purchased my coffee maker on line so I am not sure what to do.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
You may want to make your grounds larger, not for paper filters more like for regular coffee.
and i will assume you are using the screw on cap, that comes with cartridge. and you have removed the k cup cartridge holder. and placed in the screen holder.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response, thanks and good luck

Flashing "clean" light on my Cuisinart coffee maker--can't find my manual, sorry. Also, LOTS of steam, less coffee output than expected.

We had this problem. I can't remember all the details but we followed the manual's directions and ultimately the flashing light would come on again. We went through the same procedure a number of time over the day, and each time the self-clean light would go off, but then when we tried to make coffee it would do exactly as you described. Finally we gave up and uplugged it, ready to throw it in the garbage. But then, I was going to call Cuisinart's number (go to their web-site) and I thought I'd try it again so I could describe exactly what happened to the customer service rep. Guess what? It worked! I think what may have happened is, by unplugging it, we re-booted its computer. So try unplugging it and replugging it in.

Gaggia Classic Spurts Everywhere

Hi there if your coffee is spurting out the sides it is because the group gasket is worn or has gone hard through use and now needs replacing. Basically when you twist your coffee handle on it doesn't always form a perfect seal and so the pressure causes the coffee to spurt out the sides. If you are not sure where to get parts get in touch with David at and he will be able to sort you out.
All the best

Coffee spurting everywhere!

Unlike the other person offering a solution I have experienced this problem like you when making the first cup. I found that sending a blank shot of water through first does the trick before putting the coffee grounds on. Hope this helps.

Make sure your filter in the machine and in the filter holder is clean, the filter in filterholder there you will see a little light in the middle if you head it to light, else you have to replace the filter.

Change our k-kup holder. if the needle is still in place the k-cup must be puncture on both side on top and bottom. if is right our needle can be block. clean with a little rod of stainless steel.
