In order to switch on or enable your wireless connection first you have to look at the task bar in your computer/laptop then find the icon within your task bar located at the rightside of your task bar then double click it or right click it. Then open its properties or open networks then find the button connect or on. if you can't find it then right click your my network connection then click properties then find wireless connection icon then enabled it if it is not enabled. then lastly if all of those steps you follow then no result then you maybe forgot to setup your wireless connection or you didn't install yet your wireless connection driver for your wireless device.

My Samsung R440 is lately having internet connection problems - it keeps on connecting and disconnecting to the wifi network. Help!

Hi,

First, be sure that your wireless password or key has not change.
Second, If you are using WPA be sure to either used the right encryption type such as TKIP or AES.
Third, check the distance between your computer and your wireless switch, either you are too far or you are getting low signal.

Finally, reset your wireless switch by pulling the power cord from the back for about 10 seconds, if you are using DSL or Cable, reset your internet provider modem and your wireless switch, then simply connect your modem first and wait for all the lights to come up following by you wireless switch (Reset your computer as well).

Good Luck!

I have a dell laptop and the switch that is located below the mouse pad that you can switch on and off seems to be kind of broken. its a switch that when you turn it on it shows you internet connections...

That's the switch for turning on/off the radio signal for the wireless network card. If you can't switch it back to the on position you will need to get that fixed in order to get your internal wireless card to work. You other option is to use either a PC Card or USB wireless card.

Cannot the wireless internet setup

Hi kschmerer,

I understand that you are not able to setup the Wireless Network Connection in your Computer.
To fix this issue, please make sure that the Physical Wireless Switch on the Computer is turned ON and then try connecting the Computer to the Wirelss Network.

You can locate the Physical Wireless Switch on the front side of the Computer. Please move the switch toward right side to turn it ON.

Once the Physical Wireless Switch is turned ON, please try setting up the Wireless Network Connection.

If you are not able to to connect to Wireless Network Connection after switching on the Physical Wireless LAN Switch, try using the Wireless Switch Setting Utility.

To enable the Wireless Network Connection using the Wireless Device Switch Utility, please double-click the Wireless Device Switch icon on the right corner of the Taskbar. Then in the open Wireless Device Switch window, please click to check the box next to Enable 2.4Ghz Wireless LAN.

This should fix the issue.

Please post back if you have any questions or require further assistance.

Thanks for using FixYa.

If there is a wireless switch you'll need to switch it on.
Then head into Control Panel .. Networks and Sharing Center .. Connect to a wireless network. Ensure the wireless router is on and select the network you need to connect to.
